I think he's a good fighter. He gave a hard time to Kotelnik, making up for his lack of boxing skills by throwing a ton of punches, and then stopped one of the most hyped prospects out there, making him quit after himself being on the canvas 3 times.

He reminds me of Ricardo Torres, but he can take a better punch.

The man was impressive,He did something I'm not hearing anyone talk about,he timed a lot of shots and draw his head back and tried to counter, problem was he was loading up on the counter shots!!If Maidana shortens up on that right of his and keeps it short and adds a stiff jab to his arsenal, the hook seems great already,he'll be a hellova fighter!!!!

I think he could go pretty far with his power. He would ko Khan for sure.

Maidane is a bum with power. A smart boxer would have dominated his ass last night. He was wild and he opens up way to much when he throws his punches.

I think Kotelnik or Khan would be good follow up opponents for Maidana. He has already shown he can deal with Kotelnik, and if he caught Khan with the shots he caught Ortiz with, they'd be scraping Amir off the mat.

Kotelnik is a smart boxer and he didn't exactly dominate Maidana.

A smart boxer with power and durability can dominate Maidana. Fortunately for him, there aren't too many of those type of fighters in the 140 lb division.

                  Have you saw the fight?

Of course he is good, some of his flaws are covered by his power and constitution. He may not be great, but good... Of course he is!

He never lost, he got robbed against Koltenik.

But i have to agree, he may not have a great future 'cause he is not as good as the top fighters nowdays. Pacquiao would kill him.

Last night he kind of reminded me (and others who said it also) of Ricardo Torres or Jorge Barrios.

If only he had a good trainer to polish his skills he would be unbeatable. The man is as raw as they come.

If Roach had him he would make him devestating
