yeah but regardless of the weight

    be it 147, or 150

Forbes standing as a fighter does not change

Stevie would be a gatekeeper at 140, and a Gatekeeper above 140

as keep in mind, at this point in his career Forbes best weight is probably 140.

and even Forbes moved up in weight, to face DLH only to go back down to Welter to take on Berto.

so the fact that Hatton is moving up to face Forbes (if the talks turn true)

doesn't mean much, since Forbes, like Hatton is better @ the lower weights.

Hatton vs Forbes ha ha haaaaa typical Hatton opponent, Hatton has avoided all his career guys like Otkay, Witter, Harris, Judah and has only ever fought Class C opponents.. i won BIG at odds of 15/8 the KO by betting Pacquiao to poleaxe this overhyped, over-rated idiot... Forbes is a joke, Hatton should be fighting Bradley, Campbell, Holt or Khan... Hatton supporters will turn-out to see him beat Forbes and claim the referee robbed their guy against Pacquiao

          Typical Hatton hater.

          A few of Ricky's opponents:

          Tszyu
          Collazo
          Urango
          Castillo
          Mayweather
          Manny Pacquiao

Yes, he has only ever fought Class C opponents. Also, what do you expect him to do for a tune up confidence builder fight? Fight the best? F**k off.

Effective pressure generally means you are scoring points while being aggressive taking minimal punishment, not getting knocked down or out for that matter. Not trying to knock Ricky, just telling the truth. I happen not to think Many is the pound for pound champ. I mean he does have three loses, with two of those loses coming by way of body shots. IMO
Like I thought. You think from ONE bad performance against a NOW natural 140lber (he isn't a 106 fighter these days you know) who is the P4P best fighter in the world, that only lasted 2 rounds, he is no longer an effective pressure fighter. I don't understand how you can come to that conclusion, when just one fight prior to that he completely dominated Malignaggi with pressure.

It does not surprise me at all that you do not understand the logic. For the record, I never thought that highly of Malignaggi to answer your question. You're saying Pacman is the P4P best fighter in the world, like it's a hands down with out question statement. Allow me to enlighten you, P4P is a mythical title that is always open for debate. Fact: you have a 106lb former world champion, who has been knocked out at lower weights two times by body shots. And FACT: he moves up to 140lbs and completely destroys Ricky Hatton in two rounds, and escapes with out a bruise. He was knocked out by Mayweather fighting face first, and you for some reason do not understand the statement that his aggression is not effective. I am an unbiased fan, the Collazo fight could have gone either way. But truth be told in boxing one performance is all it takes. Just ask Gerald Mccellan, Roy Jones, and countless of other great or very good fighters that find out over night that their bodies can not do it anymore. Ricky gets hit way too much to ever be successful with prime A- or A+ level fighters. That takes nothing away from his nuts and guts in the ring. But he is not gaining any fans by always having these excuses after loses. Whose fault will it be next time? Will he ever be knocked out and just admit that it was not his night?

Cotto fought Michael Jennings after losing to Margarito for f**ks sake..
He fought PBF at 147 and his excused after losing, 147 is not his natural weight. Now that he had loss to Pacman at 140, his claimed natural weight and to where he reigned undefeated, he would say 140 is no longer his natural weight and 147 is. Simply i found his excuses not convincing, but rather ridiculous! He should retire now and losing to the top P4P fighters in his career were not a dishonorable taints to his records.
