Why did Hatton duck Cotto?

anybody that thinks ricky hatton ducked people must be ****n crack heads. have a little think about it. he was the undisputed junior welterweight champion but decided to fight mayweather. a guy considered p4p nmber 1 and a division above when he could have stayed at 140 and beat a load of bums. yeah sure he go beat, but he still did his best and went for ultimate glory rather than stick with ordinary champon status. he then did the same again in fighting pacman. didnt have to, but he did. shows what the guy was all about really. how many 4 times world champ in 2 divisions have challenged the p4p number1 when he didnt have to and when 1 of them was a division above??? so all the ****s saying he ducked people need to get rid of the crack.

people underrate ricky too much.

so what if he lost to pacquiao and mayweather? they're the best of this era.

at least he fought them.

ricky won the belt in 2005. cotto moved to 147 in 2006.

Brav with all due respect you are missing the point.Why did he not even want to consider Cotto when he considered everyone else.I am not saying he is a coward that's why in the opening thread I brought in the Tszyu fight.Tszyu was a devastating puncher but Hatton wasnt scared of getting in there,yet he wasnt willing to even consider Cotto for the future.
