Steward is a good trainer, better probably than Santiago but their styles are different, don't know how that would work out.

        Very true.

        But I'm hoping it happens.

Steward is a good trainer, and could probably help Miguel unlearn some of those bad habits of his, as well as help maximize his potential.

Even if he could it wouldnt happen through just 1 training camp.

Bring Buddy into the mix, good guy / Bad guy situation.

              Of course not.

But perhaps he could have a small impact on Miguel's overall package.

He really needs to learn how to clinch, how to avoid going to the ropes so often, and how to avoid burning himself out.

If Manny can help him at all (even if only slightly), it would greatly add to his overall package.

And if the 1 training camp goes well, then surely that will lead to more time they'll spend together, and that in turn, will learn to an even better Cotto in the future.

Cotto's chances just went up if this is true. If Steward knows one thing it's how to maximize a size advantage and disguise a stamina disadvantage.

Ya but i think if Cotto was gonna go with Steward he should have gone with him for the Clottey fight. Trying to unlearn bad haabits at this point could end up being more detrimental than beneficial at this point against Pacquiao.

It's like that Pacquiao right hook. He had barely learned it against Morales so he thought it would be really effective against Marquez in the rematch. But it ended up being more detrimental than beneficial. It wasnt until the 10th or 11th rd of that fight that the right actually started landing effectively.
