Silencers I respect you ass a poster bu thats ridicoulous....Hearns has never seen a fighter like Williams..who can match him for size and strengh.

I love the hitman but Williams would get to his shaky chin and stop him...Williams has the chin..stamina...power size and workrate to put a hurting on Hearns..

    Styles makes fights not names.

Even if the fight turns into a 1sided beating this is 1 fight that would be worth every penny. Styles make fights and I think this match would be great while it lasts.

1.) Williams can match Tommy Hearns' power? Since when has Paul demonstrated one punch fight changing (not to mention, fight ending) power?

2.) If Hearns' chin is "shaky" because he was dropped by punchers like Barkley and Hagler, then what does that make Paul? (Who's been wobbled by Quintana, no less.)

3.) Styles don't make fights. That's the most overused cliche' in boxing that everybody spouts to make it sound like they know what the hell they're talking about.

On rare occasion the saying proves itself to be true, and it's legend lives on. But for the most part, one style always beats the other style. A slick boxer will almost always beat a gritty brawler, a slickster with a high workrate will almost always beat a technician with a low one, etc.....

I didnt say power..I said strength.

And say what you want but styles makes fights.............its not cliche its facts.

Tommy would be overwhelmed and his right hand would get smothered...Williams knocks him out.

And for your examples..the Brawler that is Mayorga holds TWO wins over Forrest the slick boxer.

            Margarito absolutely owned Cotto.

            Cotto absolutely owned Malinagii.

I dont get what your saying?

And who exactly has Williams fought that is of the caliber of Hearns? A guy with long arms, who's not that much shorter (Williams is listed at 6'1 but I have a feeling his 6'3, Hearns is 6'1), who has a lightning bolt of a jab, who knew how move side to side, who was knocking out cruiserweights. A guy who had huge power in both hands.

I'm sorry but a guy that gets hit the way Williams gets hit is in big trouble against Hearns, Hearns wouldn't be reaching for him like a lot of Williams opponents have done and Williams gives away his size a lot and for a big guy like him, he reaches in quite a bit leaving countering opportunities. I think you forget just how good and versatile Tommy Hearns was.

And Williams is not stronger than Hearns, Hearns grew into a friggin cruiserweight and held his own on the inisde against Barkley in their rematch, let's see Williams do that against a guy like Pavlik and/or Abraham before saying he's stronger than Hearns.

Hearns hit very hard for a Welter, I'm thinking he KO's him after losing a few rounds.

1.) Who's been able to smother Tommy's right hand in the past, that makes you believe Williams could do the same? Even Hagler ate them, but he was lucky enough to have the beard to take them.

                    2.) Forrest isn't a slick boxer. He's more of a boxer/puncher hybrid than anything.

3.) What about Margarito and Cotto? Are you using that as an example of a brawler beating a slick boxer? Again ; Cotto is not a slick boxer. He's another example of a boxer/puncher. A slick boxer would be somebody like Pernell Whitaker, or Ray Leonard.

5.) Cotto/Paulie? Again, not a brawler vs. slick boxer. That's a boxer/puncher vs. a straight boxer. (With creampuffs for hands, no less.)

I didnt say he was stronger....I said at WW he was as strong.

And i have no doubts in my mind that Williams beats both Pav and AA.

Hearns doesnt have the legs to give paul angles to cut his workrate in half....Tommy would try to FIGHT him rather then outbox him....and that plays intop Williams favor....Williams throws more...hes bigger....taller..has the longer reach...has the better chin.

I just cant pick Hearns in ths fight.
