i have not been impressed by manny either the only fight that was actually impressive was the david diaz fight and that was a sub par fighter in the hatton, oscar fights you still see many flaws in manny but most of you only see what you believe to be upsets and you will all be upset if manny does actually fight cotto

manny was so impressed by cotto's multitude...and so he chose to fyt cotto!!

cotto has powerful punches.....he'll be surprised manny is more powerful!

Manny is not a defensive genious, his fast counter punches makes fighters apprehensive. He does move alot in angles and is quick on his feet. Cotto's offbeat jab is an excellent weopon and Manny does get hit with counters (watch him agains JMM). But most of the time when Manny is far he comes straight in and guess what a jab will always beat that(not saying that its gonna be easy for either fighter). It should be an even fight watching what either fighter has brought to their previous fights

Pacs mobility, quick feet, hand speed, and endurance will be too much for Cotto to keep up with. Cottos only real chance is breaking down Pacs body round by round getting in his combos but Pac will not stand toe to toe with a puncher like Cotto. I see Pac winning it either by late round KO or UD.

Cotto will be coming in at a healthy weight and although Manny does have very fast hands, its not like he doesn't get hit. Manny is just as susceptible to getting hit as Cotto is if not more. Cotto has good timing with his punches and can be pretty accurate. Cotto wont have too much trouble landing on Manny and Manny will be landing some on Cotto as well.

The question is, will Manny be able to handle Cotto's power and body shots and will Cotto be able to handle Manny's speed burst combos?

I say this, if it took 11 rounds for a heavy hitter like Margarito(plaster or no plaster) to bring down Cotto, how long do you think it will take Manny who is obviously a lighter puncher? I don't think Manny will be able to wear Cotto down the same way.

It'll be a close battle but I give this one to Cotto.

Cotto should worry about PAC's speed and power, specially with the healing process of the cut. Say wanna you wanna say about the matchup, but as long as PAC beats Cotto to the punch, Pacquiao is winning this fight. If Clottey landed his right punch accurately at will, Cotto better improve his defense as he prepares for Manny.

The best thing that could of happen to Cotto is.... the hiring of Hall of Fame Trainer Emanuel Steward. He will help Cotto in ways he haven't been helped. However, changing the style of a boxer who has been fighting with that
same style all of his career won't happen. Cotto is tailor-made for Pacman.
Pacman's speed and power coming in and out will damage Cotto's image as
a boxer. This fight will be very similar to Pacman/Hatton with similar results... NUF--SED!

in no way should PAC FANS consider cotto easy in any way. that dude fought through a lot and is a tough dude. good fight and to set PAC as the modern legend if he should win!!

cotto agreed to 145 and pac agreed to 145. NO EXCUSES. 141-147 is the welterweight division. 147 is the max limit. belt should be on the line. cotto gets the fame and riches if he wins. pac needs something as well = WW BELT! 7th title and the LEGACY!
