I don't think anyone has to defend boxing anymore in early ufc they change all the rules(we call them the tank Abbott rules) like lowblowd,using the cage,fishhooks,etc so guys like Abbott couldn't exploit their sport which he did early on.most recently ray mercer at 48 exploited the sport again.this should no longer be a debate.boxing is the superior sport.anyone can become an mma fighter but not anyone can become a boxer.
