If what Roy did in the ring ain't good enough for ya then you'll never be satisfied.
There are great boxers and then there are extraordinary gentlemen like RJJ. Floyd is a great boxer, Roy was simply extraordinary.Comment

Roy was a great fighter, and is an all-time great. With all things relative, considering the tens of thousands of boxers that have graced the ring, he's honestly one of the best fighters of all time.
With that in mind, you're damn right I'm going to hold him to a higher standard than most others. Same goes for any fighter who dares to be great.
Roy was extraordinarily talented. His only problem was that his talent far exceeded his accomplishments (and arguably his desire). If he took half the risks during his prime that he has in the twilight of his career... then he wouldn't even need to be fighting today, because we'd already be discussing where Roy belong amongst the likes of SRR, Ali, Louis and Armstrong.
Beyond all that, my main beef isn't with what he's done, but what he plans to do (this nonsense with the IBO cruiserweight title and claiming to be a five-division world champ should he win the belt)Comment

Roy backed out of a promised fight against Buster Douglas. Refused to travel abroad to fight Michaelzewski. Insisted Sugarboy Malinga and Merqui Sosa come in under their normal fighting weight.Last edited by Brunswick Assassin; 06-25-2009, 05:50 AM.Comment

****ty article proving adults can be ****** too. Calling Roy as to be cheating history and in the same breath saying calzaghe is an atg... Who cheated history more? Roy fought and beat prime Toney and prime Hopkins. Calzaghe got an SD vs 43 year old hopkins (no rematch) and an UD vs roy "shot since 03" jones and he's an ATG? Then Toney is certainly an ATG, Mosley is surely an ATG as so is Jones, Hopkins, Mayweather, Forrest, Tarver and many others who slip my mind...Comment
