OK, so both guys suffered a knockdown in that round. So it's 8-8, right?

That doesn't make any sense, though. One guy's winning the round 10-8, but then goes down himself. Hence, he should also lose 2 points and wind up level with his opponent 8-8. Neither won the round.
I mean, you get 9-9 if the round winner is deducted a point. So why not an 8-8 for a double knockdown?Comment

So a second knockdown, which by rights should also mean the deduction of 2 points from the original round winner, nullifies the whole thing? That is some seriously dumb ****.
If both guys end up on the floor, neither of them should be entitled to anything more than 8 points on the scorecard. Otherwise what's the point in a knockdown ruling at all?Comment

u guys r real idiots
its a 9-8 round
when a knockdown occurs
the person that got dropped loses a point
buttttt
someone still won the round
a knockdown doesnt mean u automaticly win the round
u can score a kd but lose the roundComment

But doesn't 10 point must effectively forbid a 10-10 round?
9-9 rounds seem to be commonplace if the round winner is docked a point, but an 8-8 round would seem equally logical because of the circumstances. 10-10, on the other hand, is proper dumb **** - I mean, if it's a clean round there has to be a winner. But if it's not clean (ref takes a point away or KDs occur), then it's exceptional circumstances.
Your tone is idiotic.
Sure if one guy is knocked down he's behind 8-10, but if the other one also goes down why would the 2-point deduction not apply to him?Last edited by PittyPat; 06-23-2009, 05:07 AM.Comment

You can score it 10-10 if the round is too close to call but I guess the proper score would be 9-8 if they were both dropped and one guy had the advantage or 8-8 if it was an even round and they were both dropped.Comment
