Wladimir isn't anything like Ali because Ali had a great chin and Wladimir doesn't. Not to mention Ali likes to talk trash to his opponents, while Wlad is a gentleman. The only thing they have similar is that Ali dominated during his time and Wladimir is dominating today, but you can say that about every great HW that dominated during their time.

Yup, Ali was great in his time and is remembered fondly. He was entertaining, loudmouth, dominating the division, fast with feet and fists, building up grudges, and THUS, well remembered. He had bad fights, lower-class opponents, too, and felt harsh times when he didn't go to Nam.

Wladimir is a gentelman out of the ring, and dominating the division. That's it. He will be remembered as a bland guy who ruled by technical and reach superiority. And as one of the two brothers to rule boxing. But should he get more entertaining in the ring, or take Hayes bait to build grudges, he possibly could be more of a "great one". But I doubt he'll change. He is simply no entertainer, just a damn good technician.

I don't understand a lot of the hate on this site towards Wlad, to me he is a world class boxer and the closest thing to Ali I have seen.
