    samurai brah,

dont be naive or biased. or both.

Make no mistake about it, what Pacquiao wants, Pacquiao gets.

    Pacquiao is Harry Truman....

The buck stop with him. Did it ever cross your mind that he wants a catch weight & in order not to look bad he makes his team say it?

    Team Pacquiao = Manny Pacquiao.

I love Pacman but if see bull**** i will call it bull****.

Manny is not immune to bull****.

        I disagree.

IMO, Pacquiao beats Cotto at any wight up to 147. A couple of pounds makes no difference, and personally, I don't know why they are even bothering with a catchweight. I understand that Roach wants to protect Manny as much as possible and I agree somewhat with what you're saying, but I honestly think too many people (including Roach!) are making too much of a big deal about this extra pound or two of weight. Pacquiao will beat Cotto. Period. Call me what you want, a Pac nuthugger, a *******, whatever the **** you want, but that's the way I see it. It's about styles. Manny Pacquiao beats Miguel Cotto. He is just too ****ing fast for him.

Hence, had it have been at 154 we probably would've been talking about one of the worst mismatched beatdowns of recent times. Oscar's a greedy fool for even dreaming up the fight in the first place, because to this day nobody can honestly say that they hold it in high regard in terms of Pac's achievements. Only nuthuggers can.

Which is what a Pac-Cotto fight at anything lower than 146 will end up like as well. Anyone giving Pac credit for beating him will always be subjected to the grilling of "Well, had he faced him at 147 it would've been a different story". I'd rather not see any of that stuff at all, because it'll be tiresome to discuss over and over again for years to come.

Of course. But I don't believe that's how it is. Manny leaves the details up to Roach, he trusts his word and follows his game plans.

Dude, I am not biased. I am a fan of both fighters and I actually don't care one little bit about this weight crap. 140, 144, 147. Who gives a ****? These guys are professionals, so I let them deal with it and sit back to watch the fight.

Again, I disagree. Oscar's weight excuse? Massive, steaming pile of bull****. He cannot fight Southpaws, that's why he has avoided them for his entire career. Dude was getting beaten up in sparring by small Southpaws. Was he weight drained then? **** no. He cannot fight them.

And I'll have to disagree there, too. :wnk1:

Pac has blisteringly fast hands, but he hasn't got heavy hands - the latter of which Cotto does have. That, to me, would be the key in Cotto beating him whilst at his optimum weight of 146-147. But hopefully we'll never have to find out.

                    listen brah,

i agree with you. ive posted several times that weight is very trivial in this fight. but to think pacquiao is all innocent & humble he's not. He's got a ego just like Fraud jr. Dont forget Pacquiao was a street kid at 13 years old & a professional freaking boxer at 16.

                    He's no choir boy.

Rashad Holloway says Pacquiao's power hurts more than Margarito's. Dude does have heavy hands. Just ask Ricky.
