Pacquiao should just fight the winner of Bradley-Campbell in Oct and then fight the winner Mayweather-Marquez next year. I know I must be dreaming because he is the p4p and can only have the huge fights but I wouldnt mind it. If all else fails defend your belt once, no shame in that.

When a fighter drains is not only body fat that is loss, it is muscle mass also of course the nutrisionist is in charge of that but is not easy to drop down in weight with out loosing some muscle. Pac weigh 138 lbs during the weigh-in against Hatton.

Cotto weigh 146 lbs during the weigh-in against Clottey.

If they fight at 143, that is 5 lbs up for Pac and 3 lbs down for Cotto.

At 144, it will be 6 lbs up for Pac and only 2 lbs down for Cotto. Cotto is just too big.

Anyone can argue that Pac is just too small for a full welter. Thus, the catch weight.

If Cotto doesn't want this fight, he can always decline. The fact of the matter is he wants it too.

my guess is it'll be 144 and we all argued over nothing.

the weight should be in muscle mass not wasting down to 143 to ballon using water and food or what ever... 1 day is not enough to build up muscle that has been lost. people is not that simple. just as the argument about this guy being biger and the other smaller is not that black and white.

and who said cotto will be drained at 143lbs? cotto's natural weight is 140lbs. going down 5 pounds is no big deal for him but his camp want everything to turn in their favor. they should remember that pac's first fought at 106 pounds.

pacman is naturally smaller than cotto and a 143 pound catchweight is no way at his advantage. pacman's only advantage against the puerto rican is his speed and nothing more. if cotto wants to prove his worth as a welterweight, and to validate his controversial win against clottey he should agree to a fight with pacman at 143 pounds.

i dont believe cotto is physically drained at 143 lbs.

but even if the fight is at 147lbs, the outcome is the same.
