    Roach is feeling the pressure of loosing to cotto!

    Can't say I blame him for looking for an early advantage. What ever the weight thats agreed upon is not going to prevent Coto from winning this fight. Correct me if I'm wrong but is the WBO welterweight championship at stake? A catch weight between 140 and 147 is 144 in any arithmetic. Why Roach would impose this stategy is obvious. He's feeling the pressure! Tell me Roach where was this stategy when you fought Oscar. Oh thats right he was over the hill. Come on guys read between the lines !!!

He'd be dehydrated as hell. I remember YEARS ago Cotto looked like a skeleton trying to make 140. Manny step up and fight him at 147 and you will get FULL credit if you beat him. Beating Cotto at a weight he is not comfortable at will not be a good win.
      im right there with u bro. thats ****in bull****. i love manny, but if he wants to be P4P he needs to MOVE UP in weight not make people COME DOWN. WTF?.

        manny will fight wherever the agreement gets made.

        you know manny just signs. all the other stuff is up to arum , roach and them.

        as long as manny gets paid a lot of money , he doesn't care about anything else.
        I agree, Pac doesn't give a **** what the wight is. This just Roach and the people around him. This is all bull****, if Cotto signs it all good. He knows what his body can or can't do.

          That's right. Roach demands a weight were Pacquiao gets no credit at all if he wins. I know that Cotto's much dangerous than DLH, that is why DLH did not fight Cotto or Marg and fougfht Pacquiao instead.

          I want the fight at 147lbs even though I know that Pacquiao's health would be endangered because Cotto would likely weight 12-15lbs more than Pacquiao.

          147= yes
          145= yes
          144= ok
          143= just no way...no way.

            Cotto is a dumbass if he takes any type of catch weight. If Manny wants to fight him, fight at 147.

                  Scrap the fight then. I didnt want to see my boy Cotto get his ass whooped like that anyways. JUst rematch Mosley and try to become WW king, could be rough though. If this deal doesnt work out then Pacquiao might fight Mosley who said he is willing to go down. we'll just have to see

                      Oscar was coming down from 154, and hadn't fought below 154 since 2001. 147 was effectively a catchweight between Oscar's weight of 154 and Pac's weight at the time of 135. There's all the difference in the world between that and fighting a real Welterweight at Welterweight. You simply can't compare it.

                      But if he doesn't think he can beat a real Welterweight at Welterweight, then I agree he should defend his lineal Jnr Welterweight title against the top fighters in his own division and forget about the Welterweights.

                      But unlike Roach, I do think he would be competitive at 147, and that he might even be able to win against the odds at 147, and I think Roach is doing Manny a big disservice by insisting on a bull**** catchweight.
