Tuns, just shush up with the negativity already. You make it sound like the end of the world is nigh:
Wladimir's Haters Will Never Change

What the Klit critics need to realise is that Wlad uses the boxing fundamentals to win his fights. It may lead to 'boring' performances, but at the end of the day, the winning is the most important thing, and that is what he is doing.
It's not his fault that the division is as poor as it is, and that he dominates opponents with the lethal jab. He's too smart to put him in the firing line, especially after the tasting the canvas on numerous occasions. Why risk a possible TKO loss, when you know you can beat them with the basics?
This is what Haye fans need to realise, and as much as i like Haye and wish him the best, Wlad is just too smart to trade (risk) and will likely overwork him and knock him out in the late rounds (if the fight ever comes off).
One thing left for the division is unifications, so i hope the big man (Valuev) gives one of the brothers a fight.Comment

No matter who Wladimir Klitschko defeats or how he wins, the haters will always bash him.
He put on a flawlessly brilliant performance today against an undefeated opponent today, a fighter who was a world champion as both a pro and an amateur, a tough man who had never been knocked down. And Wlad dominated every minute of every round, putting him on the canvas in the second round, and beating him so badly, Chagaev's corner had to stop the fight after the ninth.
But the haters are still bashing Wladimir. They always trying to find new excuses to hate this man.
Wlad now has 47 KO wins. His KO percentage is higher than Johnson, Louis, Ali, Holmes, and Lewis, the great fighters of other eras. Were their fights really so much more exciting than Wlad's? Or is there some OTHER reason why the haters cannot restrain themselves from expressing their negativity?
There couldn't be a better heavyweight champion than Wladimir Klitschko! He's dominant inside the ring, and a man of finest character outside.
But sadly, there will always be those who hate him. The wisest thing for Klitschko fans to do is just ignore them, because the better Wlad does, the more hate he'll be given from those kind of people.
Wladimir Klitschko is a top 10 All Time Great Heavyweight Champion. He's a bad mother ****er.

Let's make a FAIR KOratio comparison.
- Let's delete all KOs against sub-200lbs victims, since modern heavies cannot line up 20x 170lbs guys -> KO them -> increase their KOratio
- Let's delete all KOs off the record where the fighters themselves have been sub-200, since that allows them to move in & out quick, while the 200+ opponent were slower.
- Let's delete all the KOs off the record in rounds 13+, since modern heavies, too, cannot increase their KOcount that way
- Let's exclude non-KO fights if they have been won by DQ or TD (e.g. Evan Fields vs Tyson II, since they unfairly reduce the KOratio)
- (Actually one should also exclude KO LOSSES from the KOratio calculation, since a KO loss merely proves a weak chin/stamina but not a weak fist. But I won't do it for the below calculation, since it would cause a too big of an outcry)
Ladies and Gentlemen... and the winners are:
- Lennox Lewis: 75% (31 KOs)
- Wladimir Klitschko: 87% (47 KOs)
- Vitali Klitschko: 92% (36 KOs)
- Louis: 8 KOs in 10 fights
- Chris Byrd: 46% (19 KOs)
- Joe Frazier: 44% (8 KOs in 18 fights)... ... The golden age of heavyweight boxing
- Ali: 34% (11 KOs in 32 fights)... The golden age of heavyweight boxing
- Evan Fields: 38% (13 KOs)
- Mike Tyson: 79% (39 KOs)
- George Foreman: 82%
- Rocky Marciano: 0 KOs in 0 fights (= had not a single heavyweight fight as we know it nowadays)
- Larry Holmes: 58% (38 KOs)
- Earnie Shavers: 67%
- Sonny Liston: 80% (21 KOs, mind you most of them bums with a median career record of 28-14)
- Archie Moore: 2 KOs in 3 fights
- Sam Langford: 0 KOs in 3 fights
- Chuvalo: 63% (36 KOs)
- Eric Esch: 65%
- Cleveland Williams: 47%
- Rob Calloway: 70%
- Ezzard Charles: 1 KO in 1 fights
- Tony Tucker: 73% (44 KOs)
You heard it here first:
In the history of heavyweight boxing noone beats Wladimir Klitschko in the number of KOs AND the KOratio. Some have a higher KOratio (but less KOs) and some have more KOs (but lower KOratio), but noone has as many KOs and such a high KOratio. Wlad is the most working + hardest hitting boxer of all times.Last edited by knn; 06-21-2009, 08:24 AM.Comment

"a dominate champion who defeats QUALITY opponents"I don't get the hate on Wlad either. He is a dominant champion who defeats quality opponents in decisive fashion. He made one of the best HWs in the world look ordinary earlier today with a masterful display of boxing. I was very impressed with how easily he made it look, but yeah Tunney haters will always find reasons to hate on him.
LOL
That made me laugh.Comment

Hmm, let's check Ali's last 10 opponents: Median record at bout: 22-3.
Wladimir's opponents: 27-1
Wait a second, but maybe Ali KOed more of them? Nope, just 3x (Ali) compared to 8x (Wlad).
Wait another second, but Ali won more than Wlad? Nope, Ali lost 3x, Wlad 0x.
