Manny pacquiao and Miguel Cotto are the same size....

Manny pacquiao in his last 4 fights, has walked into the ring on fight night as a full blown welterweight or even super welterweight....

    he was:
145 against marquez last year(fighting at super featherweight)
147 against diaz last year(fighting at lightweight)
148 against oscar last year(fighting at welterweight)
and i believe he was 142 against hatton (correct me if im wrong)

Plus, espn's tale of the tapes shows that they are the same height, with the same reach. Im sorry guys but that makes this an even fight at 147. For this to be a real fight, both fighters need to be at their best. And there is no reason for this fight to be @ 145 instead of 147.

Note: if someone could post the tale of the tapes for the 4 fights aabove that would be great

The difference btwn pac and cotto is almost the same as the difference btwn marg and cotto. Marg is much bigger than cotto, but no one was complaining about it. This fight needs to happen at 147!!!!!!!!!

I would like the fight to happen at 147 as well but it won't. In fairness though if you are talking at what they walk to the ring weighing, Cotto is a middleweight or bigger.

No, he would walk in at 157 or even a little more even when he was fighting at 140. He does not do fight night weigh ins now

if thats the case, then it wont be a difference from 145 to 147, because cotto would still rehydrate to 155 or 157 or whatever...... the may as well fight for cottos title
