You said that Cotto wants Manny then fight at 147. Well if he wants him so bad then why not do it at 140? Pac could fight all these 140 pounders but all these bigger guys want to fight him. Pac was at Cotto's fight to accept an award and was going to skip the event but Arum talked him into going. Cotto is just second choice. Floyd was first choice but the timing now won't work. The catchweight is fine but no title should be at stake. It's fair to both guys.
I say this in the most respectfull way possible:Cotto stans (not fans) have NO heart.

If you had half a brain and read the news you would know that Pacquiao wasn't really interested in collecting his fighter of the year award, and would rather have spent time on vacation with his familly, let alone witness Cotto get a shady decision I personally think he didn't deserve. In other words Arum begged him, and possibly threw him a bone to come.Last edited by wizard king; 06-20-2009, 12:22 PM.Comment

145+ Cotto can make it and win the fight
144- Cotto will have to drain himself, and there is a big possibility Pacquiao can KO him.
Anyways I'll be backing up Cotto... "THE BETTER MAN" lol
War Cotto!!!!!!!! Kill the Midget!!!!! lol
BTW: I got nothing against Pac, he is one of my fav fighters.Comment

You better not be talking about me sucka
I don't care what weight they fight at.
As of late, most fans should be immune to the catch weight ordeal, I got used to the idea of PBF fighting JMM at their perspective catch weight agreement and in the end, I wanted to see this fight, I can only speak for myself though.
I am not even going to get into the politics of PAC/Cotto. What ever they decided amongst themselves, so beat it. No one is holding a gun to anyone's head (I don't think) It's safe to say that money can be just as persuasive as a gun to a persons temple. Money talks, bullshiet always runs the marathon.
I am just going to sit back, watch and wait until this all unfolds. Nothing has been set in stone and nothing has been signed and until this is finalized, I wont even discuss it very much. We have already been let down by a few cancelled bouts, I don't want to get my hopes up just yet. Too many things are going on and it is Manny and company who are holding all the cards. His possibilities are numerous and almost seem endless.

Cotto in the sense won the Pacquiao lottery and now if he wants to collect his money, he's going to have to meet Manny's demands being the guy in the drivers seat. It's as simple as this. The fans want these fights to happen, Pacquiao and Roach know his fighters limit in weight. Pacquiao IS NOT A REAL 147lber, I repeat, he is NOT a 147LBER. He weighed in at what? 142lbs for his fight with Oscar and then went up only to 148lbs for their 147lbs fight! What does that tell you? If Manny weighed in at 147lbs, and then fight night, anything over 150lbs, your gonna see a bloated, sluggish Manny. It's not his weight class but so many people want the fights to happen since those are the better fighters than 140lbs. Can't win if you want it all.
he don't need to go up 150+...he can stay at 147.Comment
