Mosley Sounds Off on Arum, Cotto-Pacquiao Bout

I'm glad Shane is becoming more vocal and trying to get fights that benefit him both financially and legacy-wise rather than just sit on the sideline and watch things play out, silently. It's funny how posters are acting as if Mosley 8is some up-and-coming who hasn't earned to right to get the fights that he desires. Mosley vs. Cottely, is an insult to Mosley's legacy at this stage of his career. Shane was a household name and a World Champion when some of this fighters were teenagers and now you expect him to play to background...

Shane got his ass beat by Winky twice and Forrest twice...This is why even though he will go to the hall of fame one day, he is not considered the top in the sport. He needs to fight Paul Williams and get whooped and then retire...End of Shane Mosely saga. He can't beat floyd and he can't be Pacman. And if he fights cotto again, it better not be in MSG, or he will lose that one again too (just ask Clottey who was robbed last week!)

Mosley doesn't seem the least bit upset with the decision. He says he felt it was a very close fight. Mosley admits to being buzzed every now and then by a Cotto left and thinks he hurt Cotto with a few shots as well. Asked what he wants to do next, Mosley says he's "not getting any younger" and sounds like he's seriously contemplating retirement.

I do agree, he even stated that he would be more agressive next time they fought cause he wanted to outbox Cotto. He admitted that it was the wrong strategy

We won't always get the fights that we want, probably in the 30, 40 and 50's but not now at days. Hopkins/Toney, Vitali/Lewis 2, Lewis/Bowe, Pryor/Chavez, the list goes on and on. In the end the business side wins most of the time and not the best match ups

shane knew he won the fight and so did alot of fans. thats why he asked for the rematch on the west coast so he won't get cheated again. then bich bob said cottos fan base is not as strong in the west like in the east so bob and cotto ducked the rematch with that lame excuse.

Every boxer has his plus and minus. I'm not saying Cotto or margarito or mosley or pacman or floyd or williams is the very best out of the pack.

Cotto- got beat by margarito and has not fought floyd or pacman or williams
Mosley- lost to cotto and has not fought floyd, williams or pacman
Margarito- beat cotto and clottey and lost to williams but has not fought floyd or pacman or mosley and don't know if he won because of cheating.
Floyd- has not fought pacman, cotto, williams, mosley or margarito.
Williams-Beat Margarito, but has not fought cotto, mosley, pacman or floyd
Clottey- lost close dec to cotto, beat corrales, lost close fight to margarito.

i don't have anything against cotto or masley but boxing is boxing and none of the fighters are scared of each other. like mayweather said this thing is all about styles and money.with all other fighters its about styles. with mayweather its about the money. he already can defeat any style.
