Shane is old, he's going to retire in the next 2 years or so for sure and he wants a career defining fight. As many will point to the steroids controversy- you also have to acknowledge that his fights with Oscar aren't the fights shane might want to 'define his career'.

i think shane wants a real blood and guts war that he can win before he hangs up the gloves.

i'm obviously a shane mosley fan- but am I wrong to say that it's possible nobody under 165 pounds can knock him out? i definitely don't think Pac can. Mosley isn't hating on Cotto as i'm sure their rematch will happen no matter what- but Shane knows he can make a war with Manny and doesn't run the same risk of getting hammer fisted to the mat. I think Manny has one punch ko power behind his speed that Cotto may find startling. Actually... shane too

Either way we're in for a good fight- but don't blame Mosley for stepping out and hollering at the top of his lungs to get the biggest fight possible first, he's the undisputed welterweight champion- it's also not his fault (or anybody elses) that Mayweather is such a picky little *****. Shane has fought a lot of honorable fights that made no sense for him to take. He's done enough gatekeeping and he's finally back into a position to demand more and he's doing it.

Shane is Manny's most dangerous/viable choice. you can't blame him for being desperate for the fight, and he obviously isn't hiding that fact at all.

I just hate to see Shane on the sidelines for a big fight when he has the least time left in the game. that right there is the heart of the issue for him and for me as a supporter.

Shane against any of the top guys would be entertaining but I think the politics will keep him out. A lot of good matchups right now to be made but we don't always get what we want. Mosley should fight the other champs as soon as Floyd/Marquez and Pac/Cotto is singned, he simply can't stand at idle. He gonna have to settle for Berto, Williams, Quintana, Judah or Cintron for know. The more impressive he looks the more he will be clamour by the public

As i stated earlier Mannys last two opponents have been golden boy promoted so they shouldnt be crying over there. Miguel deserves his fight, plus lets not forget that his contract is up this year with Arum so he may be trying to get Miguel some money in order to entice him to stay. i think Cotto would beat Manny , its not as rough as the Clottey fight. Shane should go fight Berto or P.Will and stay busy. i beleive he and Miguel was close but that Cotto would win again. i think he is the best welterweight in the division, i think Floyd would get beat by Manny, Shane,and Miguel......Marquez should give him problems but doesnt hold the weight the others do.
