Cotto vs Pacquiao before the ODLH fight. Who think Pac has a chance?

Nobody. Almost everybody said he's to small and
Cotto will kill him. Now fast forward of today,
a lot of fans whinning and calling Pac a *****
if the fight will take place at catchweight maybe
at 145. Why? If my memory serves me right. Pac
weighed only 142 on ODLH fight at 147. We know
ODLH weightdrained in that fight and its has been
many years ago since he did his last fight at 147.
If we compare ODLH to Cotto. Its not long time ago
when he moved up from 140 to 147 and in his last
fight he weighed in at 146. So its just 1 lb difference
but the whinning and bitching is too much when we
already know that in fight night Cotto will weigh
in at least between 160 lbs or more compare to Pac's
148 on ODLH fight. So Cotto will have all the
advantages on this fight. Not weight drained. He will
be the taller guy, bigger body frame, stronger, comfortable
in that weight, been with the bigger guys punches harder
than Pac, outweight him by at least 10 lbs or more on
fight night and so on! Those fans saying Pacman is a
***** tell me why? To the neutral fans, will you give
Pac credit on this one if he somehow win this fight?

If both guys could be 100% of themselves, Pac at 147 or Cotto a few lbs below, of course the winner would deserve mass cred. That just don't seem likely, and is the lone reason I don't like this fight. I luv watchin both guys, but the DLH win just didn't fool me into thinkin Pac would beat the top WW's.

I'll give him credit if he beats Cotto at a catchweight. A win is a win. But I'll give him more credit if he beats Cotto at his best, Cotto at 147.

Fighting Cotto at a catchweight only gives Pac's critics more ammunition. Why give it to them?

Would the detractors have a case? It's debatable. I say kill that noise, end the debate before it even starts.

People who want the catchweight say the 1 or 2 pound difference means nothing. Ok, so then let Cotto weigh in at 147, win or lose. Or don't fight him. The 1 lb makes no difference right? If the 1 lb makes no difference, which looks better: fighting him at 147, or fighting him at.....145? 145 wtf?

If Pac wins, his legend grows. If Pac loses, so what? He will have lost to a bigger man, he's already rich as ****, and he's already an ATG regardless.

Pac is just lucky when fought weight drained Oscar. Cotto will be the biggest step for Pac even at 145 as what I said on my previous post but I hope this fight they do it at 147. Cotto only needs a few clean punch to ko Pac however great he is. Just to much size difference there for this former flyweight. I will be happy if Im wrong and show again his greatness to us.

If DLH battered Pacman I don't think Pacman would be such of a topic as it is.

Maybe DLH should of asked Bernard Hopkins to use his time machine for 1 day.

I was one of the very few who Picked Pac to KO Cotto way before DLH & Hatton. I just didn't discussed it much coz I was more inclined in discussing Pac vs DLH, Hatton & PBF, the bigger fight during that time. I thought Cotto will lose & will lose his Luster as undefeated, it did in the Hands of cheato. Then I thought PBF will come back only to fight Pac & I never thought JMM will Play a role above 135. My original prediction could still come true if PBF abandon the JMM fight & move on for a Pac-PBF superfight.

Here's my original Prediction at esb:

              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Props to Floyd, he's learning now how to finish a fight.

I pick Floyd to win the fight coz Hatton's arms is only 20" & only 5'6" short. Pac's 5'6 1/2" & 25" long from Armpit to fist. Pac is a Different animal than Hatton, He's faster, Punch straighter, Better head movement, quick footed. Watch Pac in any fight, he's not that hittable with the left hook. The opponent has to deal with Pac's Jab in order to be hit by a Left hook.
You haven't seen the welter Pac yet. You've only seen the 130 Pac with the Power of a middleweight.

Pac will be busy with JMM, Diaz & maybe DLH. PBF will take a Break, He'll not fight Cotto or any of the Bigger welter. hatton will Probably will be back at 140 fighting Witter or Torres. Pac might fight Hatton in England after DLH.
PBF will come out of retirement to fight Pac after all thoose Big fights.

                I wouldn't of given Pacquiao a chance.

I still think he loses to Cotto now but Pacquiao winning wouldn't surprise me at all.
