Cotto signing the contract... just means the DEAL was good enough to make it worth it to him..

It doesnt mean he wont have to sacrifice being at his best.

He may not have an excuse... but either way you slice it... Pac STILL didnt beat the best Cotto IMO..

I guess JMM has NO excuse for losing because he signed to fight Floyd at 144lbs..

OF COURSE he does... we all just know the deal was too good for JMM to pass it up... but Floyd still wont be beating the best JMM, whether JMM signed the contract or not.

If you sign the contract, then you are responsible... and should have no excuses...

But with all that... does that mean Pac DIDNT beat a drained Cotto?

    Even though he signed?
    Good post.

It simply shows the business side of boxing. Fighters are fighters for glory AND money.

Offcourse he knows that! thats part of his plan to have his fighter vs a dehydrated fighter, just like he did with the Morales and Oscar fights.

I agree with Reed on his first post. But if Cotto doesn't have an excuse then Pac and his fanboys don't have an excuse if Cotto turns out to be too big for Manny. Manny signed the contract.

The only way I see anyone getting full credit for anything is if Pac beats Cotto at 147...

I dont see Cotto getting full credit no matter what the weight is... because people will just say Cotto was too big... and they may be right.

However I still have no idea who wins here... I can see both fighters winning.

            That is all.
Why is Cotto still with Arum in the first place?

I don't get him at all.

His name alone is more than enough to build on...he should be promoting himself or with Golden Boy....or both.

            That goes double for Manny.

He should tell Arum to kick rocks.

I think they're too lazy or dumb to take a more active role in their own careers.

Cotto never makes excuses, he is old school. You have fighters complaining about margarito's plaster and Cotto has not mentioned a "possible" cheating in their fight. Mosley WON fight and he complains more about plaster than Cotto...lol

There arae rumblings that after his contract ends this year he'll leave Top rank. Cotto was pissed that arum defended Margarito so much after plaster incident.
