If Hopkins runs out of steam then its disaster.

    • adamek is a big guy, but I re-watched his fight with Cunningham and Adamek was getting beat up for the majority of the fight. If it wasn't for the three knockdowns he would have lost badly. Take away his power and Adamek aint that special. As long as bhop can avoid that power, which if he fights anything like he did against Pavlik that should be no problem, he should be able to not only win but school him in the process.

i agree completely. i think both fights would be a waste of time, as hopkins beats either guy. either retire, or get a fight done that ppl wanna see....calzaghe or dawson.

        • what re all you guys tripping on with hopkins layoff, hopkins is a gym rat who take extremely good care of his body and has never taken a beating inside the ring. hopkins is a guy yo can't get to take a day off from training, so that is not an issue at all, and i don't think him being 45 is that big of a issue either, like i said, hopkins has taken care of his body and stayed in shape like no other, better than some of the younger fighters, its one of the many secrets to his health at his age.

hopkins fighting froch would be an exciting fight, but i think that hopkins would slice him up pretty bad, and may even ruin froch's career. i like froch, but hopkins would tee of on him all night long and wouldn't get hit with anythign clean.

hopkins fighting adamek is a tough fight, and i think that if hopkins fights this fight, he could be risking losing and or maybe even there is a real possibility of him getting stopped. and the only reason i say that is because of the weight and size of adamek, and his durability. i think hopkins can beat adamek, style wise and experience, as well as skill, but the size factor and the work rate of adamek later in the fight, coupled with his size and solid chin and stamina......... tough tough fight, but it would be a bigger accomplishment if hopkins were to fight and beat adamek at cruiserweight................

but then again it would be a good fight to beat the other guy that beat guy that beat you twice........... although, taylors wins over hopkins were hbo gifts to their cash cow at the time..................

LMFAO, that would suck, the calzaghy fight ******,
and dawson doesnt even have a fan base lol.

he will fight either froch or adamek because he wants to be a 3 division world champ.

and as for everyone talking about his age and layoff,
B-hop lives like a monk and is always in shape,
i think he'd know if he cant take it.

i want to see him fight a worrior like adamek,
he'd have to move up another wieght division at 45 years old,
            after a huge layoff,

and i think he'd STILL win.

he's gonna shock the boxing world,
            one more time.

that's the point i'm making.......its not an intriguing fight at all. its hopkins moving up in weight, to beat a guy dawson already beat......

and speaking of dawson, let's get real.....dawson has no fans, but adamek has a huge following???

the calzaghe fight is the most important fight for hopkin's career at this point. a win over adamek won't make hopkins much greater than he already is, b/c i don't think too many ppl consider adamek a "great" fighter.

get w/ the program. the first calzaghe fight ******, but that doesn't mean the second one will, especially if hopkins fights calzaghe the way he promised he would if they ever fought again......much, much more intrigue against dawson or calzaghe, than adamek or froch......SMH

I disagree about the cunningham fight. Adamek did a pretty good job. My card was 114-112 I think or 111, so that's 6 a piece.
