Did you even watch the fight? The last punch that Mayol landed was on the cut and Calderon flat-out quit.

He kept looking down and unresponsive when the doctors were asking him if wants to continue. That's a sign of "no mas".

I gotta give him props for fighting much bigger guys but the bottomline is no matter how you look at it, Ivan quit.

Calderon didnt Quit, Mayol Butted him, Cut him very bad, Calderon got mad, started teeing off on mayol. And then on the next round mayol butted him again, Punch him in the cut and then the fight was stop simple as that.



How a guy who is 5 inches taller ends up butting the smaller guy. Dman dirty fighter.


But dont worry the rematch will happend, and from what I saw, when Ivan was on the offensive, mayol looked dumb as hell!!!!!!!

Yes. Cab is willing to fight anyone, and regarding the african guy. It was a sloppy fight, and Cab clearly wasn't up for it. We all saw what happened in Toronto when he took on Molitor.

Ring magazine probably thought Clottey won then. That's the only reason they put Cotto down.

True. But if we can't respect the call of the people hired to judge the fight, arguments and rankings will constantly differ. Different publications, websites and newspapers will decide who is champion and there will be more chaos than we already have with the ABC boys. We don't have to like many outcomes, but we need to get over it to protect the sanctity of the sport the way they do in other sports where a ref or umpire blows a call that potentially changes the outcome of a game.

the funny think is that cotto was p4p # 6 i think before the margarito fight. margarito beat cotto and he get i think it was 5 or 6 and mosley get 4 and cotto beat mosley and he is way behind mosley.

Margs got like 6 or 7 if I remember correctly. It was a fair placement in my view. Mosley's though is a bit too much @4 considering he wasn't in the ratings prior to the Margs fight.

I see this as a tactic to fool some fans about how Pac should face a higher rated P4P guy in the same division. Cotto isn't getting his props and he should be higher now. All Mosley is going to do is sit on his ass like Hopkins and claim a spot that doesn't belong to them.

I like Calderon a lot, he should be rated P4P higher than he is. IMO he is better than Cotto.

vasquez 2008-03-01 1 year and 3 months
mosley 2009-01-24 5 months and he wont get a fight in the next 3 monts
bernard hopkins 2008-10-18 8 months

When did a guy last beat a top 5 Ring ranked guy in any division, and go down two places in the p4p rankings?

Furthermore, when did a guy move up a division ranking for losing in Clottey, by the same principle.

Will Marg over take him again if he wins? Or no, he'll go further down for winning?

Do you go up or down when you win, I'm confused now.
