If Cotto struggles to make 147 (even though he weighed 146 against Clottey), then Cotto SHOULDNT BE SEEKING A FIGHT WITH PACMAN BELOW 147. It goes both ways.

If pacman isn't willing to fight at 147 and cotto isn't willing to fight below 147, then don't fight, simple.

But that's not reality. The reality is Cotto wants to fight Pac and is willing to do so under 147 (as of now that's what it appears). Pac is willing to go up a few pounds or so. What's the problem? If anything, Pac is bending way to much for these guys, he struggled to weigh 138 pounds against Hatton and had to eat two meals before weigh in just to get there.

I respect your guys opinions, I simply don't agree. We'll have to agree to disagree at this point because clearly we aren't going to see eye to eye on this one.

The thing the balls in Pac's hand. He'll make Cotto come down to what ever weight he'd like. If Pac says fight at 147, the fights at 147. If Pac says fight at 145, the fights at 145.


I wanna see a Pac-Cotto, Pac-Mosley fight at 147 because if Pac wins, we will witness something legendary.

I think people overlook how difficult an extra 2 pounds is when you are ALREADY dehydrating to make 147.

Strongly disagree with you my man. It was a close fight UD or no UD. it was very entertaining and Mosley beat the man who beat Cotto. I think it would be for the whole ball of wax at this point and wouldn't mind seeing either of them fight PACMAN after they fight eachother.....Besides I wouldn't mind seeing PAC mop up at 140 either..He could fight Bradley and take his little hardware and unify that division before matching himself with Cotto or Mosley....like Reed said I will buy the fight between Cotto and PAC no doubt and I agree it will be entertaining but as said I wouldn't mind seeing Mosley in there with Cotto for a rematch and true lineal champ rights....Lefty

Yeah, but things have happened since that fight. Cotto had a SERIOUS loss to a guy that Mosley ran over. That right there in and of itself should make a rematch happen IMO

mosley ran over him cuz margarito wasn't 100% there. Can you honestly say that margarito wasn't worried about getting in trouble with the plaster? Im sure he was much more concerned with that than the fight itself.

He just beat the king of 140 in dominating fashion. Cotto wasn't even an option until his people started talking about him losing a couple pounds and fighting pacquiao.

Mayweather was the fight Pac & co. really wanted, so blame Mayweather for being a *****. And mayweather never fights any 147 pound fighters anyways so it really doesn't mess up the picture.

With the catchweight scenario, you talking about the playing field needs to be levelled... the way I see it... Cotto/Mosley beating Pac they dont get full credit no matter what weight is at because their too big.

Where as at least PAC would get full credit for beating Cotto/Mosley AT WW instead of under, where a possibility of being weight drained is highly likely.

pac could get full credit for beating cotto/mosley at WW, but he would most likely get a full beating. I guarantee that if cotto and mosley are allowed to weigh around the middleweight limit and pac the welterweight limit on fight night, pac will get crushed... imho those fights are mismatches and shouldn't even happen.
