Not being funny or anything but that isn't very reliable, I aint saying it has or hasn't done more than 3,000... but we should at least wait to hear from a good and legitimate enough source. If somebody can provide one, a reliable source then fair play.

Plus... come on stop pasting the negative stuff, there was some good points made in that article as to why the ticket sales might be hurting and it seems like the TS just ignored it, at least take everything into account.

All I am saying is, it is known that the ticket sales are hurting... but we don't know if it is more than 3,000 or not... and "sources tell MaxBoxing" isn't reliable enough in my opinion, lets just wait and see for a more reliable source to come along guys.

Boxing gate/PPV depends on boxing's popularity, not the other way around.
If a boxer's shtick/career moves are turning buyers off, then he's a problem,
and the first step to correcting a problem is to point it out, not hide it in
the name of some supposed solidarity.

Your main concern is an added difficulty wrt trash talking vs. MMA'ers?
If you're going to worry about the boxing's state of health, then worry
about the fact that the loudest trash-talker in the sport can't find the
integrity to fight someone in his own weight class, or at least in the
next one lower. Clearly, not everyone has a delaHoya charisma/smarts
to sell a perceived mismatch, whether or not it really IS a mismatch.

Boxing isn't, or shouldn't be.
Sports promotion however, is.
(Particularly in the context of some "Boxing vs. MMA" comparison.)

Sport popularity leads to more revenue, which has been intimated
by some as an indicator of the sport's health. I'm not sure I agree.
Fighter cultus does exist, obviously, or you wouldn't have that
avatar/sig. I don't have to tell you how the abundance of fans of
specific fighters can help with revenue, with the sport's popularity,
and with the recruitment of new talent.
