It is hard to believe that the fight only sold 3k tickets. However, I do believe Mayweather is not that big of a draw. He does not have that hardcore fanbase. People want to see him lose that is why they buy or attend the fight. His whole career he has never drawn the big fight before De La Hoya and that was of course because of De La Hoya. There is no reason that a man with so much skill to be loved by the masses. Before the De La Hoya fight many of us never heard him speak. After and during 24/7 many of us know why he doesn't. He projected this bad boy image to help sell tickets. Well it has came off as complete ignorance and immaturity. Only if Mayweather would quit ducking people and understand his worth will he command the drawing power of that of Pac and even Ricky Hatton.
