This comment just displays how ignorant you are when it comes to MMA.

Tim Sylvia was never a top fighter for that long and when he was a top fighter in the UFC, the heavyweight division ****** ass and all the HW talent was in Pride.

It was supposed to be a boxing match but the commission did not allow it. Mercer agreed to a MMA fight and the two made a "gentlemen's agreement" not to use anything but punches.

Sylvia then ignored this by starting the fight with a leg kick and Mercer answered with a right hand over the top.

TM Shouldnt have taken Mercer so lightly... He was a worldchampion, probly #3 for hardest heavyweight punchers of all time. Sure hes freaking 48, but oh well. That was hilarious what happend though.

This fight proves that a fat, out of shape Ray Mercer knocked out an even fatter, more out of shape Tim Sylvia.

Honestly, most MMA fans hate Sylvia and recognized his terrible stand-up long before Mercer exposed him for what he is. ****, even Fedor Emelianenko, a sambo submission specialist, clowned Tim Sylvia in their brief exchange before the fight hit the mat.
