Pacman never seems to get any credit. So the question is, what if he beats Miguel Cotto? Will that be enough to earn your respect?

No, a catch weight of 144-145 is too much for Cotto and he will be weight drained

No, I'll only give Pacquiao credit if he beats Mayweather AND Apollo Creed

It kinda depends. If it's at 144 and Cotto's clearly drained that's one thing...

I think the real question is say Cotto just walked Pac down and dismantled him, would he get credit or what it be "well he's huge what did you expect?"

In the view of the boxing public it's a win-win for Pac and a lose-lose for Cotto.

Pacquiao gets full credit from me at any weight from 143 and up. Cotto comes in at around 160, maybe even higher now, and Pacquiao comes in at 147. IMO if pacquiao gets the better of cotto when they go toe to toe and forces him to retreat he will get 100 % credit from me since he will weigh about 20 lbs less.

So cotto weighed in at 146 against Clottey and if he fights at 145 or 144 thats too much? Come on, that's 1-2 pounds!

Dude 1 or 2 pounds could be a lot. I really don't have much of an insight as to what making weight is like for Cotto so I can't really speak on it intelligently. But 1 or 2 pound difference could be a really big difference.

I don't think Mosley could make 144 and not be a corpse.

it's nonsense started from the delahoya fight.

after the delahoya fight everyone favorite phrase is weightdrained now.

last year if you talked to cotto fans about a catchweight fight at 140 , they would say cotto would kill him.

now pac beats oscar and ricky and they start talking about it better be at 147 or else pacquiao is cheating.

apparently it's fair for pac to go up 7 lbs. but not fair for cotto to go down 3 while pac goes up 4......

I voted for Yes and No, because if its at 140 then its not really even a contest for manny, at 145 and above though its a good win, Cotto does suck though

Not really for cotto since he was at 140 not that long ago and of course he will rehydrate so much in 24 hours. He'll still be around 160 on fight night.

For Cotto to shed an extra 1-2 pounds shouldn't change his routine much at all, just towards the end before the weight in he'll probably have to sweat it out a little longer than he normally would when making 147. Not too different when pacquiao had to eat two breakfasts before the ricky hatton fight just so that he could weigh 138.
