Would you have wanted Manny Pacquiao to go all the way up to Jr. Middle?
The Pacquiao fight was as fair as the Mayweather fight due to the weight difference.
Of course Mayweather fought him @ Jr. Middle.. Mayweather is a bigger fighter then Manny. I think it would be unfair to ask Manny to move all the way up to Jr. Middle for a fight considering he had never even been to welterweight.

De La Hoya was a part time fighter and a shade of his former self when Mayweather fought him. The Mayorga fight gave some of us hope that he still had it but it was all smoke and mirrors.
I'd say De La Hoya peaked somewhere around 2002 and then went on his decline.
No way in hell that's a full 100% De La Hoya that Mayweather fought.

He was a part time fighter when he fought Fanny Pac...and even more of a shadow of his former self.
