I think Clottey has a very good shot at beating P.Willi too because even though logic would dictate when Clottey fought Margarito that Margo would outwork him and thus be expected to win that way, Clottey still took Margo to school by masterful counterpounching.

So it all depending on how well he can negate Williams' volume with good D and masterful counterpounching I give him a good shot. Quintana used movement and counterpounching to get his win, Clottey can use a different combination of techniques....

Here is the problem. Arum has not called Goossen once to make this fight. It's been discussed over and over. If they are serious about the fight, they should force Arum call Goossen to make it. Internet challenges don't make fights.

i love clottey, but the reason cotto won the rounds he did was b/c of his workrate (rightfully or wrongfully).

paul williams absolutely won't stop, and won't tire out later on in the fight, as clottey does.....not to mention paul will fire off from ALL angles.....let alone cotto flooring clottey with that weak ass flash jab, but paul williams absolutely beats the hell outta clottey.

be careful what you wish for.....i don't see arum giving clottey the rematch with cotto, so he make this fight just to keep clottey happy, but clottey gets his ass beat here. somebody posted cintron- that's who clottey should fight. paul williams whoops clottey.

Everybody knows winning a decision in boxing is based on luck these days.
If you're lucky enough to have a good ref and competent judges, then you can win on skill.. otherwise you just have to make the fans cheer a little bit to win.

Clottey beating cottos ass actually made the fans pretty silent.. so no way was he going to win, the arena wasn't making enough noise -.-;

in all seriousness, clottey needs to pick up his punch output, because, paul williams would outwork him badly. if clottey was letting cotto outwork him in the late rounds, what in the hell would a williams clottye fight look like. it would resemble something like pryor vs arguello 1 and 2.


i lie clottey but he does have a tendency to not throw punches, bottom line, had he had been busier, even though he landed more, it didn't look like he was doing enough, cotto's movement, made him look more in control of what he was doing.

sad to say, williams would do a serious number on clottey, clottey's style is like winky wrights, it would be the same fight....................
