He is who we thought he was! Clottey fights the same way all the time. No lateral movement and limited punch output. Very close fight but that performance would have had him KO'd by the 9th against Pwill.

Why fight a WW with no belt, that does not bring any money, or notariety, to the table?

    LOL. Funny but true.

The only guys he should have to drain down for are Cotto and Mosley because those are the big names. Clottey deserves a big fight after the performance he put up, but Paul Williams views him as a step backward, and rightfully so.
Dont forget Fraud. But I do believe you got it.

That's a ridiculous statement. Clottey is one of the top three Welterweights. Williams keeps saying that he will fight at Welterweight the moment one of the top Welterweights has the guts to fight him. One of them does. If he refuses the challenge he will look like the biggest ***** since Felix the Cat.

He is Top 3? Cotto, Shane and Floyd are my top 3 WW. Lets not forget that he just lost to Cotto. Pwill is only coming to WW for a major fight, and Clottey has never been that. Nor is he now.

Floiyd is not currently ranked. He probably won't be until he fights a Welterweight - and he certainly won't be until he fights Marquez. He was removed from the rankings when he retired, and just announcing a fight isn't enough to be reinstated, you have to actually fight. The current Ring Top 10:
          1. Shane Mosley
          2. Miguel Cotto
          3. Joshua Clottey
          4. Antonio Margarito
          5. Andre Berto
          6. Carlos Quintana
          7. Luis Collazo
          8. Zab Judah
          9. Isaac Hlatswayo
          10. Vyacheslav Senchenko

You are not taking Paul's situation in consideration at all. Why drain all the way from 160 to 147 for a guy like Clottey? It just doesn't make sense. The guys that he should be fighting are the big names because he has already earned it. He already has victories over Winky Wright and Antonio Margarito (the one with potentiall loaded gloves, unlike what Shane fought). Now if Clottey is willing to move up then it would look like a ***** move if Williams didn't fight him. But if Clottey is not willing to move up, it would be like Shane Mosley dropping down to 135 to fight Edwin Valero. It just doesn't make sense. Clottey is a lot more tested than Valero, but you get what I'm saying.

The big names at Welterweight will have absolutely no reason to give him a shot unless he beats a top Welterweight like Clottey first. And he claims he won't be boiling down at all, he claims that Welterweight is still his natural weight and that he walks around between fights at 150lb, and actually has to put on weight in training in order to be able to fight at higher weights.

Mosley does not claim that he's a natural Lightweight, and he does not keep saying that all the other Lightweights are too scared to fight him at Lightweight. Nor does he keep saying that he'll fight any of the top Lightweights at Lightweight the moment any them give him a shot, but that none of them want to because they're all so scared of him. So your analogy could not possibly be less apt.

You don't seem to have read any of Williams' interviews in the last 6 months.
