Hatton hasnt been the same since Collazo... WW is a popular place, but Pac should return to 135-140. I wish Pac would of came up as hard as JMM did instead of fighting just cash cows.
If PacMan beats Cotto at 145 or above will you say he was shot or make excuses?

de la hoya= supposed to get killed
hatton= undefeated at 140. linear champ
diaz= not the best 135, but pretty impressive performance nonetheless
just because marquez' fights were more competetive doesnt mean he fought better opposition. just like pac, marquez was favored to win againts casa and diaz.Comment

Pacquiao should stop being a *****, if he wants to fight at welterweight he needs to stop trying to drain his opponent, dont call out a welterweight and make him come in at jr welter. Pacman needs to stop trying to get advantages and fight the way he used to, for glory, he has turned into a ***** lately, I used to really look up to him.Last edited by whirlwind; 06-15-2009, 12:36 AM.Comment

Didn't Cotto weight 146 this weekend. is 1 lb going to change the outcome of the fight? If you think it is you need to go start watching TLC & drop boxing. The better man will win that night, plain & simple. Cotto is 28 years old 4 crying out loud.Comment

As hard as JMM??? aside from his last 2 fights at lightweight...what has been JMM's other most notable win??Comment

Hell no. Manny gets full credit.
Cotto is nowhere near shot, he just fights like a moron at times. (Using his legs too much, going to the ropes too often, being so easy to hit with the uppercut, refusing to clinch when he's hurt, etc....)
Cotto hates come forward fighters, and Manny is that type of fighter. Not to mention he's extremely quick with his combinations.
After about 7 rounds, I see "Quitto" showing up once again.Comment

Honestly ; Marquez and Pacquiao both came up the hard way, they had to fight for everything they have.
Manny fought the bigger names with Barrera and Morales. Which was no cakewalk. (Though he made it look like one, especially with my boy Marco.)
But Marquez had to dwindle in obscurity for most of his career, and fight that much harder to become a standout.
Which would you say is the harder route to take ; Fighting the very best in the world on a consistent basis, or dwindling in obscurity for an eternity despite your natural talents?
I'd say they were both equally rough paths, and they only helped make both men the amazing fighters they are today.Comment
