Did he run when he put your man on his ass? Or did he start 'running' when YOUR champ's big ass head cause a gash across his eye and impair his vision. Face the facts Clottey had an impaired fighter in front of him and couldn't get the job done. Replace Clottey after the cut with any legit champ under those circumstances and they do the job via KO. Marg, Mosely, even PBF can pull off a KO against a one eyed fighter but Clottey couldn't even daze him.Comment

I kinda see Atlas' point but I'll take it one step further.Cotto is ripe,Ripe for the taking!All I saw was a fighter who no longer has it in him to be elite.Weather Margarritos' gloves were or weren't loaded(and there is no proof),he definitely ripped it out of Cotto.The countdown has started and Cottos' days at the top are definitely numbered.I still can't see him losing to Pacman,but other top notch WW have started dialing his number.Comment

That's the way Clottey fight in spurts and then he fades in the end. He didn't come foward in the end cause of Cotto's power. Even with the high tight defense he was getting pushed back when Cotto landed on his gloves. He simply got outboxed in the end. A rematch should happen, this was a very entertaining fight with lots of ebb and flowComment

So Clottey's skill or abilities had no bearing on Cotto's lackluster performance nor did the cut right. Cotto showed the killer spirit and had a warriors heart in the fight. He was pitted against a very good WW while fighting off adversity and still managed to make a point for a decision win. Cotto is back....period.Comment

Cotto won the fight mainly because when he was out on his feet, Clottey did not capitalize. Clottey gave it away the last three rounds. Clottey lost more the the fight too. Now no one will fight him. For one he is no champion so no one has to fight him. Even tho he lost the fight he proved to be a very good and solid fighter. Now why would anyone take that risk. Clottey blew it all in that fight.Comment

Aluminumhead,I don't think I was being overly harsh.I was being a little soft on him!Truth be told,Clottey had no chance to win this fight other than scoring a knockout!And even so they might of still not acknowledged it,just ask Sergio Martinez if he thought he beat the **** out of Cintron.But I digress,doesn't anybody else think fighting a rican on the eve of their rican day parade is a bit odd?Clottey should fire his managment for setting him up like that.No Elite fighter should have to go to New York on that date and fight Cotto.Simply put,you can't get a fair deal fighting on the east coast against rican fighters.If their is ever a rematch it should be in Vegas,home of truly big fights.Not saying there couldn't be shady goings on there either but at least the threat of a riot does not exist if Cotto loses!Having to face the fighter,the fans,the promoter,and even the judges is not cool.So to make a long story short.Cotto is back.But just the shell remains!Comment

i have clottey winning last night, but he wouldve had alot more supporters had he closed the show....cotto looked like he wouldve gone done had clottey thrown more right hands in the last 2 rounds......he followed cotto alot without throwing in the 12th...Comment
