Which is why if they were to get cotto to drain a few extra lbs it makes the fight very winnable for pac imo.

I wouldn't put our champ Manny Pacquiao in a disadvantageous position if that ever happens. Cotto is a much bigger fighter. It should be at a catch weight of 143 or 144 lbs. Cotto would have great advantage if it would be at 147 lbs. Cotto is currently in his prime and at 147 lbs. is definitely more dangerous than Dela Hoya, Mayweather or Mosley. I trust coach Roach would not compromise his fighter, for the sake of money.

Im liking the idea of Cotto vs Berto. I wouldnt really be as interested in Cotto/Pacquiao, especially if Cotto has to come down to 144, as i would rather see Cotto v Mayweather or Pacquiao vs Mayweather more.

But Cotto vs Pacquiao will probably happen.

The same ignorance was said that Cotto was going to get knockdown with lefty ? all I saw was a loser get knockdown for the first time in his career by a jab.

manny-may is the greatest fyt out there.
manny-miguel is the most doable fyt there is today.
miguel is much bigger, but manny is much faster.
cotto made 146 at weigh in, a catchweight of 144 is not that hard.

floyd meantime will have only 2 "good" options after jmm, fyt mosley or re-retire! what da ya think??

Pacquiao vs Cotto doesn't really interest me, i would much rather see Cotto in a rematch with Mosley or Clottey.

                    Arum really wants this fight.

"This fight showed me that Cotto and Pacquiao is a dead even fight," Arum said. "I think it's a very competitive fight. Cotto-Pacquiao is the fight I want to make. It's the fight I really want to make."
It took 12 rounds and a whole lot of blood-letting, but Miguel Cotto can finally put a humiliating knockout loss to Antonio Margarito behind him.

lol This would be a flat out war..

I think Manny's smaller size would make up for what Cotto has lost in the energy department, plus the weight drain they'll ask out of Cotto will make the fight even more interesting. This could be a crazy fight, somthin like the first Morales fight. Worse case scenario, Cotto handles the weight very well, and he ends up man handling Paq. Basically it's lookin like the Oscar pre-fight, only I don't think Cotto would come out as flat and dead as Oscar did. Cotto isn't close enough to his final stage for that to happen.
