It's hard to really tell if Cotto is damaged goods. It's easy to point out a sloppy performance that is true, But lets look at the facts here. Clottey is an under-rated fighter. That cut on Cotto's eye was the reason in my eyes that Cotto Looked sloppy. I don't know who is going to win a pacman cotto fight. Its a hard one to call. That's why Clottey was connecting with the right a lot, because Cotto couldn't see out of his left eye. I bet you anything that your boy Floyd would've asked his corner to stop it, especially if he knew he was ahead in the cards like Cotto was. He showed a lot of heart which is what Clottey said before the fight, "whoever has the biggest heart wins". I was amazed at how Cotto was able to continue on after that big-ass cut! There is one thing I agree with you on, it was a great fight which is more than what can be said about most Mayweather's fights.

i guess i just did not feel clottey put his heart into it. if he close the fight strong he would have won ... he gave away 11-12 so i guess thats why people is saying that cotto showed more heart( cojones) i like to think the 2nd one is a better to put it

And I think it's awful funny that when Cotto was in retreat mode, Clottey would try to throw punches going forward but his right foot would always slip on the fresh paint job on the canvass. That definitely pulled the fight in Cotto's favor. If it didn't exist, then Cotto would have gotten beaten up even worse.
