Then let me say this right off the top. You are a **** TK. It was tough fight that could have gone either way. I think that Cotto won it close btw.

Cotto's Baaaaack!!!!!
Check it! Cotto fights REAL welterweights! He's been in WARS with Judah, Mosely, Margarito and now Clottey! Cotto has PROVED he's legit! He dominated Judah! Did enough to beat Mosely! Smart enough to take a knee with his loss to Margarito! AND Big ***ing BALLS getting a bad cut in the 3rd and still pulling out a split decision against another Champion!
Cotto has the PROOF in his record: Better Quality opponents! More Dangerous opponents! Higher Pedigree of opponents! NO OTHER CURRENT WELTER WEIGHT BESIDES MOSELY IS AS REAL!
P.S. Grade a boxer by his ability to take-on the best and survive WARS... let me say that again... survive, find ways to dig deep and pull out victories in WARS!
P.S.S. I had it a draw! ...and a re-match would do good numbers on PPV! ...nevertheless, a rematch, no cut... the results would be the same except that 116-111 and 115-112 would be more of a realistic score! Ya heard!
I first seen Clottley fight when he was fighting in the UK and i always thought he was a dirty fighter. I predicted before this fight the Cotto would win on points but that he would definately get cut by a headbutt. I'm glad Clottley blew it cos everytime i've seen him fight he always uses his head.
DQ for constantly & blantantly headbutting Baldomir.
No contest for headbutting Martinez & opening a huge gash.
Almost DQ for constantly headbutting Gutierrez and should have been DQ.
Consecutive warnings in Margarito fight for blantant headbutts.
Technical decision over Judah for headbutt.
Finally headbutting Cotto to open a huge gash to give himself a chance of being in the fight.
Everyone saying look at both men's faces at the end of the fight but Cotto's face was a mess from the cut caused by a butt and other than the cut he wasn't really marked up anywhere else. My main point though is do you really think all those headbutts and leaning with the head are accidental cos i certainly don't.
Well TBH I dont think the headbutts are intentional, I think its just the its just the way he fights.

Cotto won the fight mainly because when he was out on his feet, Clottey did not capitalize. Clottey gave it away the last three rounds. Clottey lost more the the fight too. Now no one will fight him. For one he is no champion so no one has to fight him. Even tho he lost the fight he proved to be a very good and solid fighter. Now why would anyone take that risk. Clottey blew it all in that fight.

The low blow was VERY minor and the only reason it was even noticed was because it was right after the other foul.
Sure give him a warning, but its not some major huge deal.

finished rewatching the bout, and i had Cotto winning by a point.
after stopping the bleeding, the cut over the eye of Cotto made him appear hurt when he was actually dealing with Clottey's punches well. Clottey didn't pull a Margarito. He pressured well, but is work rate was really low, and that enabled Cotto to use the ring. I think if Clottey had a higher workrate he could have boxed his way to a UD, or even stopped Cotto. Still, when they traded toe to toe i felt Cotto had the power advantage. Cotto's jab was more effective, and though Clottey was unfazed he still was getting countered by a fighter with one eye. Plus for every right hand Clottey landed, i saw just as many left hooks from Cotto that were equally has hard.
rewatch the fight.
i would have been cool with a DRAW. i wouldn't have disagreed with 114/113 for Clottey. Everyone knows 116/111 for Cotto was bull****, but after rewatching the fight, i had it the same as Lederman. 114/113 Cotto due to the KD in rd 1 plus i felt he won both the 11th and 12th rds. 12th for sure.
i want to see a rematch.
