i didnt say race wasnt a factor in Khans popularity, i said it was untrue about having to be white to be very popular in british sport.
being of pakistani decent and a ****** does play a part on him not being as popular.
Personality is a bigger factor though. Prince Naz was a lot more popular than Khan ever will be.

I think people overrate how popular Hatton actually is, People like Bruno, Hamed, Benn were more popular than Hatton imo, Lewis and eubank arent has popular as Hatton though. Hatton is massive in Manchester but Hamed for example was known everywhere.

Khan can be more popular than Hatton though, He has been known for a while now because of the olympics and for fighting on ITV so yes he can be more popular than Hatton.

Boxing at that time wasnt how boxing is now, If Bruno was around now am sure he would pull more people to come and watch him in the states. People only started coming over to watch british fighters when NAZ invaded New york.

No. Take a look at Hatton's fans. For the most part they are a bunch of beer drinking morons, Hatton appealed to them because he is one of them.

Khan is a ******, that isolates him from mixing with the drinkers straight away. He also has the fact that he is Asian against him, a lot of british people are racist or at the least prejudice.

A sad truth is the UK doesn't have a lot of boxing fans, just a lot of people who like to get drunk and rowdy.
