For what it's worth I think he's the best WBC champion emeritus of all-time.
Floyd was the RING WW Champ AND WBC WW Champ

That means that at this point, Floyd was considered the BEST WW in the division.
SO HIS SIZE AMONGST ALL THE OTHER WWS IS IRRELEVANT
Someone explain to be how The Ring WW Champion and WBC WW champion is TOO small to fight ANY WW in the division? That logic is incredibly ****** and anyone who follows it is not only a complete groupie, but a ****en imbecile.
By saying Floyd is "too small" for the WW divison is practically admitting that his run as the WW KING was a sham, a con, a label only worth the paper its printed on: in other words, Floyd was a paper champ and his accomplishments at WW should be considered as much as Sven Oktte's undefeated record.
Stop making excuses for Floyd. He doesn't need you to do that for him. He does it himself. You can stop cuffing his balls now.
This is the way I think of it and that boxing fans should think of it.Comment

Although Floyd does have a point on the matter aswell, if people want him to take those risks pay him accordingly (if they throw enough money at Floyd I am fairly sure he would fight whoever), although Floyd does have a pretty high self worth.Comment

Pretty much he is smaller but he has proven to be able to compete at that weight so size is not really an excuse to not fight them.

His knockout of ricky hatton was incredible because nobody saw it coming, many make excuses about the weight, but that was rickys fault for blatantly ducking him those years at 140.
Basically when he left the sport, he was still at the center of it, but not in the way he thought, he basically had to come back because now he has something to prove. I dont think he had any intention of hanging out at welterweight, notice most of these threads are about ONE DIVISION.
ONE.
Which is welter.Comment

the thing is, all of that campaigning above lightweight was exclusively to chase oscar, i dont think floyd had any intention of actually staying in any of those divisions above 140. He figured (im guessing) after he fought oscar he wouldnt have much else to do other than settle his rivalry between him and hatton possibly. He also probably figured he would be well received in an oscar victory, but that isnt what happened. After he fought oscar his noteriety went up, but his rep as a fighter likely took a hit.

He does have stuff to prove but the people that really want him to prove himself he can never do enough (everyone is different though). I just want his comeback to work out well and go beyond a couple fights (I think he will fight atleast through next year) with that he should be able to prove himself to all that are reasonable (depending on who he fights, and since Floyd wants the $$$$$$$$ he can really only look for big fights).Comment

For that, most of the board will be giving you the clap.
