Boxing isn't dead. It's promotional arm is just obsolete and has been since the late 80's. It doesn't build talent, just maintains someone who happens to look good by accident. Then you got people wasting hard earned cash on **** cards in boxing. It's far more economical to buy a MMA PPV and it helps contribute more to the bigger picture they would like to display

Also keep in mind while there is an overlap with Boxing fans, MMA is largely followed by the Martial Arts community which today is aimless especially with the great purge of Wrestling clubs right now. It also give people a goal to reach for. Something that gives more financial stability while focusing on the skills you've learned.

MMA is for those who like seeing grown ass men touch one another with their palms and squeeze....while boxing is with knuckles (technically)

        2nd Round listen:
All those UFC MMA guys are wrestlers and jui jitsu guys.. they are not boxers.....NONE OF THEM CAN PUNCH!
        Listen.
Several boxers have already challenged these guys to fight and the UFC guys are scared to fight.
UFC is for white guys who would get their ass beat in boxing....you know it and I know it.
I say let them have their fun but they are not on the same skill level as boxers.
Dana White is such a *****.

        There I said it..................

What does any of this have to do with promoting boxing?

If you really want people to except boxing as "the other combat sport" you really got to lose the McDojo attitude.

Boxing is an art, MMA isnt. UFC is in the League of WWe Wrestiling more than Boxing. Boxing is uncomparable to those things simply because its an art. You wont find former Fake wrestlers becoming Boxers, thats too hard to do. Boxing takes alot of skil dedication and discipline.

The reason the number of Ufc are growing is because its a trend that you're average guy can join or take part in. Also because little kids watch it. It's something more unsophisticated people watch because it's simple.

Like one of the guys said.UFC is T shirts Boxing is Tuxedos. Boxing will never die, it will always be in it's own league.

Sooo...instead of discussing how to work on problems within Boxing promotion, we're going to act like eight year olds at a kung fu camp.

I'm going to make a sandwich. Let me know when you guys grow up.

whatever, I hardly ever get any satisfaction rewatching a UFC event. I watch re-runs of boxing all the time.

can't remember who said it but i agree. Boxing and MMA is like comparing jazz to rock and roll. some things just have a higher calling.

i like to think of it more like comparing the NFL to the PRO Football League. not all athletes can compete at the highest level. only the best of the best are chosen. MMA needs to stop attacking boxing, unless they really think any MMA fighter can step into a boxing ring and accomplish anything. it's already proven that a brawler can succeed in MMA. Kimbo Slice was a joke. How many bought into the hype? He was going to knock Tyson out? Really?

Boxing holds the ppv record of all time, but UFC consistantly puts up better numbers. Why? They cater to the fans, and give the fans the matchups they wanna see. Ducking isnt allowed in UFC. U duck, you're stripped. If boxing were to follow the UFC blueprint, we'd get much more quality matchups.
When UFShe is subjected to abide by the Ali act like boxing promoters are, you can talk about following the UFShe blueprint, which in fact is the Don King blueprint. Don King use to have 3 title fights on his undercards including a young Trinindad with a title.

That (like everything else) comes with a price, which is underpaying the fighters, for a regular UFShe ppv it takes less than a million dollars to put together an entire card including the main event.

So....how do you propose that the UFC get MMA regulated in all the states? It costs a lot of money just to speak with commisions and state governments. How do you suppose they get all that money? Bake sales? Yard sales? Raffles?

In a perfect world, MMA wouldn't have to worry about that and then pay the fighters proper money. But for now, it's locker room deals, Bonuses and sponsers.

Also don't believe the paylists, they seem low, but fighters are getting more. The UFC just throws numbers out to disourage bidding wars.
