How the **** can you say that boxing is dying/losing to MMA.When MMA orgs folds left and right.I pretty much guarantee you that Affliction will fold this year.

Well when you have trolls coming in saying "Boxing is dying, UFC is taking over" It gets the natives riled up. And if you think MMA fans respect Boxing so much you should go visit ****dog once in a while and see what they think of Boxing.

Well, people at Sherdog are praising Mercer for the KO and Boxing bashing over there isn't as bad as it used to be.

And I find more hate on MMA from Boxing fans other sites than I hear from Boxing fans.

Also many MMA fighters have shown tons of respect to Boxing and vice versa, former MMA fighter Jens Pulver was just saying of how powerful boxers like Mercer are and predicted that Sylvia would face trouble if he tried to stand with Mercer.

Boxing is an art, MMA isnt. UFC is in the League of WWe Wrestiling more than Boxing. Boxing is uncomparable to those things simply because its an art. You wont find former Fake wrestlers becoming Boxers, thats too hard to do. Boxing takes alot of skil dedication and discipline.

The reason the number of Ufc are growing is because its a trend that you're average guy can join or take part in. Also because little kids watch it. It's something more unsophisticated people watch because it's simple.

Like one of the guys said.UFC is T shirts Boxing is Tuxedos. Boxing will never die, it will always be in it's own league.

Right, boxing is for sophisticated people like the majority of people here who do nothing but have preschool arguments about why their fighter's nuts are hairier than another fighter's nuts.

And yes, boxing, a sport that involves using only the left and right hands as weapons is so simple, compared to a sport that involves multiple ways (beyond striking) to attack an opponent with various parts of the body.

The average guy can join a boxing gym just as easily as he can get instruction in BJJ or Muay Thai or kickboxing. It just so happens that MMA is far more popular at the moment, so of course the sport is going to have more new "average guys".
