Why do all these "crazed" Boxing fans cry so much because MMA is getting attention? I mean, it's not hurting your feelings or anything, is it? So why do Boxing fans gets so offended when anyone mentions MMA and Boxing in the same sentence or in this case the UFC getting more coverage than Boxing?
LOL ya'll need to get a grip, its Apples and Oranges. If you like or don't like the sport, leave it alone.
They sold out after going under for being involved in the Japanese Mob, and Boxing fans don't bring up MMA/UFC it's the insecure trolls that have a need to compare them.

I see more Boxing fans complain about MMA than the other way around (especially on this site).

Well when you have trolls coming in saying "Boxing is dying, UFC is taking over" It gets the natives riled up. And if you think MMA fans respect Boxing so much you should go visit ****dog once in a while and see what they think of Boxing.

Boxing needs to learn from the UFC. I'm a massive boxing fan but you have to admit MMA is becoming more popular.
- One top name fight per PPV card, most people will only tune in for that one fight. Whereas on a UFC Card you will sit there for the whole 3 hours and will probaly know 75% of the fighters fighting.
- Local Boxing shows seem to be struggling whereas MMA cards are building and building.
- Too many titles, it's been said over and over but there's simply too many titles. Unless you're into boxing you wouldn't have a clue who owned what and what title was the best. In UFC the titles mean something.
- If the fans what to see a fight, 99% of the time it goes ahead. Not true with boxing.
- Many average fans won't sit through 12rounds of boxing unless they know a fighter, whereas most will sit through a 3round mma match.
Just my 2 cents, i love boxing and would rather watch 2 great boxers fight it out any day but there are alot of problems with it.

good points, i will agree that money can be the root of all the bull****. plus i don't care for having more than one belt for each weightclass. I've heard this time and time again, why dudes don't like boxing....yadda yadda...let's get to the actual fights. no one can say Boxing didnt have a great year. MMA is in my face everyday on TV, from UFC USAvs UK, Pride repeats, VS channel, K-1 tournaments, Inside MMA, Strikeforce on Showtime, and everyweek theres a special UFC greatest knockouts.
Yet, when it comes time for the PPV i have no problem purchasing major Boxing events compared to the Monthly almost Bi-Weekly bull**** UFC PPV. $45 bucks for Franklin/Silvia...while a Cotto/ Clottey fight is on HBO for free! you have to be a dedicated follower of MMA to dish out more than $50 a month. Dana White clearly doesnt understand how much everyone would appreciate a free fight.
so in regards to the Money issue, thats why there will never be any free UFC. you can have two guys...neither of them champions, both with a combined record of 20 W 18 L and they'd still hype it up and want you to pay for it.
that pisses me off more than a Boxer ( or promoter) having issues with his end of the deal.

Boxers nowadays need to drop this diva attitude they carry once they reach the top.
It is sad, because instead of praising the warriors stepping into the ring, the loser gets immediately tarnished enough that his career is immediately deemed ended or on the decline. Losing is part of the sport, its how you get back on your feet that is a true measure of your grit.
The sport is not being killed by UFC, or MMA , it is getting killed by its own fans who turn their backs on its fighters once they lose, you can't support an entire sport on the top 3 guys per division with an 0 on their record, it just means that fighter hasn't faced his nemesis, and trust me, there is always that one guy that has your number.
