So what happens if Mayweather vs Marquez produces more than Pacquiao vs Marquez. If you wanna go by numbers Mayweather is a bigger draw, it's black and white. I know the haters will not order it to try to prove Mayweather doesn't deserve majority cut, but when he does the numbers everyone knows he'll do what will you say then?
What will happen between Floyd vs Marquez is a wait & see event...Marquez has made his name bigger because of his knock out wins over great bigger champions Casamayor & Juan Diaz...Likewise Pacquiao was not that biggest draw when Manny vs Marquez happened but their ppv buys were great numbers of more than 300k ppv buys for a lower weight class & a common record for most of popular fights in boxing in general...Pacquiao for real has made his name the biggest draw after he destroyed Diaz, Dela Hoya & Hatton in a brutal fashion, what could you expect is an instant or leap frog rise of his worth & popularity among the boxing world...Imagine Floyd is an American, Pacquiao is not, compare the fights of Floyd/Hatton(900k+ ppv buys) while Pacquiao/Hatton generates (850k ppv buys) a small difference to consider...Imagine how if Pacquiao is an American what do expect for the result...
Record wise a good comparison between accomplishments:
Floyd is coming out from retirement as a former #1 P4P, not as exciting as Pacquiao, has a zero loss record but still questionable to the experts & fans by ducking legitimate opponents of his size one way is by retiring & by asking huge amount of money as an excuse for the fight not to happen...He was a champion in 5 different weight divisions, he beat Hatton by 10 rnd tko but it's competitive, he beat Oscar by split decision...
Pacquiao on the other hand was champion in 6 different weight divisions & 1st fighter in history to be the lineal champion in 4 different weight division, battled w/ the boxing greats (Marquez2x, Barerra2x & Morales3x) w/ a 5wins-1loss-1draw record...Beaten the bigger champions Diaz by ko in 9 brutal rounds, too small for Dela Hoya w/ his built size but won in a one sided bout 8 rnd tko, beat Hatton who was considered undefeated champion at 140lbs. by knock out in a brutal fashion...
Floyd coming from retirement, Pacquiao from successive brutal victories who do you think is the draw, what does the people, the fans, the experts & YOU will expect...

Sometimes people doesnt tend to buy PPV if Pacman is fighting... because he finishes the job so fast... people might think it aint worth the money, he crushed Oscar, put Hatton to sleep in 6 minutes... hahahaha... but if Top Rank put up a good undercard, then it may attract more buys...
And besides, there's sopcast... so, people tend to go there instead of buying PPVs...
So if they will just based the fights based on PPV buys... its not the right barometer to gauge it....
How is May on the bottom when hes the most talked about boxer, even when retired??
Talked about is right ! ITs The TALK about the dude !! Has zero Balls to face top WELTERWEIGHT CONTENDERS, comes back and the dude pics on small guys ! He hasn't come back to wipe out everyone, if he has and does I will stop the talk, give him the kudos , but all I see is he is back for a couple of paydays, let the dude prove me WRONG !!!!!!!
He is so deathly afraid to LOSE THE """"""""""O""""""""""" !!!!!!!!!!!
surely you can see the Chicken in him , right ???????????
I think he meant the actual purse of floyd's opponents...
Chiyoko also doesn't understand what his writing about because that numbers 300k actually ppv buys in Pacquiao's fight & if that is the case it generated millions of dollars not $300k...
USA Today 3/27/2008...Top Rank chairman Bob Arum, the fight's co-promoter, previously announced the bout generated $3.3 million in ticket sales at the Mandalay Bay Events Center, a record for Pacquiao's fights. Pacquiao's three bouts with Erik Morales were his previous career benchmarks, all generating between 345,000 and 360,000 pay-per-view buys. The Pacquiao vs Marquez II generated 400k ppv buys...

Just say you are a PAC fan and thinks he deserves more..Your arguments are high schoolish at best.
When Hagler beat Mugabi and Hearns; who was in their primes by brutal knockouts and then fought Leonard who was coming off a 2 1/2 years layoff WHO do you think was the draw?? You are correct if you answered LEONARD..

No...It's about how exciting, interesting, the style, what fashion the fight ends people were intrigue to watch not how long we watch the fight even if it's boring...Look at Mike Tyson he ends the fight always in a short time but people really likes to watch him...
I see ******s throughout the forum. Most of the fighters you mentioned fight for $300k and that's what you call great.
Anyone who measures a fighter's greatness by quoting his PPV numbers is the biggest ****** going and is not a boxing fan, and never will be a boxing fan. GTFOOH with that idiocy. Find a business forum to post on, this is a boxing forum.
Everyone knows who the most exciting PPV boxer is out there it is not Floyd. He used to be the man but he is fast becoming something else.
Who is more exciting to watch is irrelevant. Every time there is a Floyd thread on these boards there are hundreds of posts within hours. He gets more interest here by far than any other boxer, including Pac. He has a lot more haters than Pac does, but the haters will pay to watch Floyd in the hope of seeing him get beat.
Either side asking for 60/40 is completely idiotic. Neither side is likely to accept less than 50/50, so if they want the fight to happen, both sides should just stop the BS and accept 50/50.
