-After Williams beat Margocheato no one including Team Cotto wanted any peice of Williams. The reason why he's fighting at 154 is because no ONE would fight him at 147
-Other note SSM has been vocal about a rematch with Cotto, just recently he started this Pacquiao talk (for obvious reasons). In addition, SSM has backed down from matches before. The one that comes to mind is when he turned floyd because of a toothache
Good article but the writer is obviously bias towards cotto. I don't really blame him too much but it had to be said
I have to differ with your point of view...Williams called out Cotto and the rest of the division but Cotto faced Mosley instead of facing Williams...and at that point Williams was not known by the common fan, nor was Shane a walk in the park either so you can't say Cotto and his team was ducking Williams because they are trying to make Cotto a name in boxing and beating Mosley did just that. After the Shane fight Williams lost to Quintana who got man handled by Cotto therefore there was no need to fight Williams because he at that point still did not have a name for himself and just got beaten by someone who was a destroyed by Cotto so what point would it have made to fight Williams then? None what so ever, so quit with the Cotto ducking Williams routine cause that statement is played out and totally false.

wait. so if cotto ducked pwill because pwill isn't on cotto's level in terms of popularity and money, then why can't floyd duck cotto since cotto isn't on floyd's level in terms of popularity and money?

I'm not blaming Floyd because of it, but dudes wanna bash Cotto for losing yet praise Floyd for never takin' an L, but at the same time, the same dudes Floyd defeated Cotto can defeat and then some. This is the best fight in boxing, besides Pacquiao Vs. Floyd yet dudes wanna talk **** tryna justify Floyd's constant ducking of the welterweights.(and I'm not knocking him for fighting Marquez, either)

Animal, im not on Floyds boat, it was that dumbass who was sayin that Cotto would lose or lost to those names, therefore, since he was on Floyds boat, wat will happen to Floyd if he fought them? he would get 3 straight loses by way of KO

Cotto still chose to fight someone, though and it wasn't no soft fighter either. Did Cotto retire from good competition? No, Floyd did.
