marquez has fought a few black fighters and 2 that come to mind are freddie norwood and derick gainer and both were undefeated at the time so check it out yo. freddie did beat him it think but that is besides the point he is a black fighter. another thing do you box? cause it really dont matter if you are red, green, black ,white, or brown. your color doesnt make your style, it's just stereotypical. it's all about timing and both these guys have great timing. i give floyd the edge but with nada to lose marquez i a very live little dog

No, he doesn't. Genaro Hernandez was very hard to hit. He covered up very well. Marquez keeps his hands shoulder width and can be caught easily with left hooks due to him keeping his right hand down to his shoulders at times.

Rocky Juarez and Juan Diaz caught him flush with slow leaping left hooks.

Compare them again and come back and say Marquez has better D than Genaro.

i also view this as a total mismatch,,,floyd should have said no the fight and picked on someone in his own weight class,which is welter,if it wasn't welter,then he would have gone down to 140 for this fight,but he didn't which tells me he is a147 pounder...should have fought mosley or even berto for a tune up...
