Trainer Floyd Mayweather Sr. views the July 18 showdown between his son Floyd Mayweather Jr, and WBA/WBO lightweight champion Juan Manuel Marquez, as a one-sided mismatch. He compares the fight to his son's one-sided beatdown of Arturo Gatti from 2005. Mayweather pounded Gatti for six rounds before the fight was stopped. He says the fight is so one-sided that he can't believe HBO placed it on pay-per-view. Marquez moves up be nearly two weight divisions to meet Mayweather at and agreed-upon weight of 144-pounds. finally something worth listening to and by someone who knows wtf theyre talking about
Common, Floyd. How can you compare Marquez to Gatti. Gatti was a C+ fighter. Marquez is an A fighter and one of the pound-4-pound best. I know you want to hype the fight but common. A little respect to Marquez who will probably take your son 12 rounds.
I wanna give Marquez the benefict of the doubt, but he is too easy to hit, Diaz hit him lots of time and Floyd is 10 times faster than Diaz.
Since when does Floyd throw combination's like Diaz? I mean Floyd is accurate, but remember, he hasn't been in the ring in some time, and also remember.. He doesn't pressure fighter and throws punches in bunches like Diaz papa.
