Is Mayweather -VS- Marquez less a mismatch than Shane Mosley -VS- Juan Diaz? Poll!

Is Mayweather -VS- Marquez less a mismatch than if Shane Mosley -VS- Juan Diaz were to take place? Mosley and Diaz are both ranked #1 by Ring Magazine in their respective weight classes of WW and LW. I doubt Mosley would get much credit for taking or winning this fight so I'm curious if NSB thinks it's ok for WW's to fight LW's. No flaming please. Poll to follow!

Question is bias and short sighted.

No it's a pretty simple question. I'm attempting to parallel PBF/JMM with another pairing of elite WW -VS- LW. Either it's less a mismatch or it isn't.

The Yes option isn't coupled with an insult toward Floyd, so No, it leaves plenty of room to explain yourself without incriminating yourself.

I'd say so because I don't believe Floyd is a welterweight either. Still Floyd is still at an significant advantage just not to the extent Mosley would be at. Floyd is using his name to force JMM to fight at a disadvantaged weight.

I think JMM/Marquez might be slightly less of a mismatch but the difference is negligible. This is a tuneup for Mayweather, but I don't think it should be considered too much more.

if PBF aint a welterweight, he should've fought hatton @140...

floyd has never been real welterweight, shane is. hell shane knocked suckas out at 154. and even though JMM is smaller than diaz, well we know how there fight ended up. i mean JMM is the best 135lber in the world and diaz isnt. shane is a well sized 147lber and floyd isnt. so yes floyd-marquez is less of a missmatch than shane-diaz.

floyd-jmm isnt a mismatch to begin with, i mean floyd has an advantage but the p4p king (jmm) will never be on the bad side of a mismatch.

Yes, but the difference here is Juan Diaz doesnt gain much weight after he makes the 135 limit, he's a natural LW. Mosley has weighed over 160 unofficially for his last couple of fights at 154, thats a serious size difference. Mayweather is a natural WW and doesnt weigh in much over that limit, the heaviest he's been was 150 (against DLH), Marquez is also a natural LW.

Seriously the question doesnt make much sense because you detail four fighters but you end it with you thinking it isnt ok for WW to fight LW. Every fighter is different, different sizes different skill levels, every fighter doesnt fall into a no win or uncompetitive senario.
