Please name me some boxing writers that were there that called this fight a robbery~, this is a fight that looked different live then it did on TV. John was landing more punches and in rounds 3-8 he landed some really nice shots, with that said Juarez landed the more eye catching punches he was snapping John's head back whenever he landed.

John did not even win 8 rounds clean (clean meaning no possible way to score for Juarez) atleast 3 of the rounds were close enough to go either way (3,4,8,9,10 were all pretty close rounds). I can watch the fight again but my opinion has been well stated on this topic, I have yet to see anyone call a robbery give me atleast 8 rounds that Juarez won clean with good explanation.


I still think John will win the rematch in a much more boring fight as that was probably the best Juarez can do, while I think John can do better.

Harold Lederman and I rarely see eye to eye on scoring I thought he was giving John much to much credit (Lederman is also a sucker for guys that throw more punches). Saying that John won is fine I thought it was a close fight so John certainly could have won, my issue is not that people think that John won the fight it is that they claim robbery in a pretty close fight.

it because juarez is so lackluster. if he was more dangerous he wouldn't be getting those fights.

I don't think this is one of those fights where it's a clean cut robbery either.

I will say that I had John winning 8 rounds to 4 and I think the problem with a fight like this one is that judges tend to favor a style. John is the cute boxer with the jab and movement. Some judges like that, others favor the relentless come forward approach of a guy like Juarez.

Me personally I just love to see a guy who can jab and move and drop the right hand behind it. A judge like me probably gives John 8 rounds everytime. A judge that favors Juarez style probably comes out a Draw each time.
