Manny is a sorry ass fighter. He's trying to pull that same bull**** he pulled on Oscar. He fought Oscar and let Oscar come in at 147, why don't he do the same for Mosley! This is not boxing when the only way you can win a fight is if you drain the guy. But yet you don't hear him talking about fighting Joan Guzman or Nate Campbell and they would come up to fight Manny. I think Mayweather struggled with ODLH and Hatton and they aren't as good as Diaz and Joel in my view. I'm gonna order the fight and not worry about what everybody else thinks of it. I'm more optimistic about the competitive prospects of the Mayweather-Marquez fight than I was with the Pacquiao-Hatton fight. Pacquiao picked a guy that had some underwhelming performances like against Lazcano for example. JMM blasted out Casamayor and Diaz in dominant fashion regardless of how the early rounds went.

Hatton just because he didn't knock them out? Hatton got dominated
and De La Hoya got out punched and made to look old at his comfortable
weight at 154. After the Oscar fight Freddie & Oscar was blaming each

Ok so Pac has fought at WW once for Oscar. Pac has fought once at 140. Pas has fought once at 135. Previous to that at 130. 4 weight classes in his last 4 fights. Mosley n these cats have been full on WWs for how long? And now making them shed 3 or more lbs to level the playing field makes him a B*tch according to some of you. Even though Pac is fighting the bigger guy & looking to fight the big names & give the fans the best possible fights??

It's absolutely ridiculous to claim that asking a fighter to come in weight drained is "fair conditions". doing that is nothing short of disgusting and makes a complete farce of a great sport.

If he thinks his highest effective weight is Jnr Welterweight then he can only be accused of ducking if he refuses to fight any top Jnr Welterweights. If he thinks he can make Welterweight, he should fight at 147. There are too many weight classes as it is. Some people have been comparing Pac to Henry Armstrong, but there were only 8 divisions in Armstrong's day, and he won the Welterweight title and cleaned out the division while still weighing in at only 135.

in some of their fights jake lamotta had as much as 15lbs on sugar ray robinson, sugar ray consistently fought at big weight disadvantges throughout his career, and never once made cowardly demands like the ones stated here.

That was still a one (modern two) spread. Manny was a Flyweight 20. He's in a high risk zone and does not belong at Welter. The Floyd fight? Hey, the money is so big why not?

If the point is to make a Mosley fight fair, then the stip should either demand a same day weigh in, old school style, or a requirement that neither man can be more than 3 above 47 in ring. 142 for a 37year old guy who hasn't been below 146 in a decade and who was coming in fight night above 150 at LIGHTWEIGHT is absurd.

It's no without saying it so just say no and move on.

I overstated the scenarios I'll admit. I think Mayweather dominated Hatton, but he had problems in the early rounds with his mauling tactics is what I meant to say. And his fight with DLH was a lot more competitive obviously.
