David Haye May Try For Vitali Klitschko For September

Adam Booth, manager of David Haye, says a September fight with WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko is a possible move for them. After suffering a back injury, Haye withdrew from his June 20 bout with WBO/IBF champ Wladimir Klitschko. Instead, Wladimir will now face Ruslan Chagaev. Vitali has to deal with his mandatory issue with Oleg Maskaev, scheduled for arbitration in the next few days. The WBC wants him to fight Maskaev, but Vitali just made a mandatory defense in March against Juan Carlos Gomez. [details]

He will lose, some british people are banking on Vitali getting old over night. Not going to happen, I believe Vitali has more then enough left to finish David Hayes career in boxing. Should be a nice pay-check for David Haye though. The wise crack on this fight will be!!! Who pulls out first?

I think the event should be named who pulls out first.

This is why I'm dubious about Haye pulling out, a lot of people would fight for that paycheck regardless.

So maybe there definetely was money issues, or maybe Haye deserves a lot of respect for his belief that he will become the heavyweight champion and that can't be achieved unless he is 100%.

        So many theories.

Getting Vitali as a consolation prize is a bastard though. I don't think Haye would have the same belief.

You know what was scary about fighting wlad? He has a pretty good jab when he uses it and he hits like a monster with both hands but wlads been stopped before and quite brutally and shows some minor defects. You know what is scary about Vitali? He has a granite chin that took Lennox Lewis's hardest punches, and we all know Lewis can punch and they say the last thing that goes is power in a fighter. That is the same with Vitali, I doubt he hits any softer then he did a couple years ago. Also if you look at the fact that Lennox Lewis is the only heavyweight he truly hit Vitali cleanly.

Someone said on here that Vitali is like a bigger stronger version of Floyd, which is quite true in some ways since he doesn't ever get hit cleanly and isn't taking a bunch of massive damage not including the Lennox Lewis fight. Since both Vitali and Lewis took big shots.

Vitali has an iron chin but he's easier to hit than Wlad by far, still, this is a horrible match-up for Haye. Sooner or later Vitali will land his power shots and Haye is taking sleeping lessons. He had a punchers chance with Wlad but unless Vitali ages 20 years overnight he's ****ed.

You think Vitali is easy to hit cleanly? That is funny because I think the complete opposite since the only one to ever hit him cleanly was long ass armed Lennox Lewis.

Whatever happens he needs to stay active. Fighting vitali would be hard enough but without a fight in a year he is well and truly f.ucked.

I said he's alot easier to hit than Wlad, Vitali is certainly no defensive wizard and leaves his hands low although he is very good at controlling the range.

Although i like Haye, he needs to prove himself at heavyweight and beat a few HW contenders and prove he is worthy of challenging for the HW title, yes, Haye is a proven cruiserweight champ but he is not a proven HW fighter, beating Barrett is not enough, he must beat genuine top 10 heavies,

Haye v Arreola should be made
