not saying Pacquiao is greater, but seeing lots of bandwagon hoppers in this section.
Pacquiaos recent wins seem like they were hand picked oponents though, Oscar would have been a good win if it wasn't for Oscar coming in weight drained, Hatton was a good win - it just doesn't stack up to the stuff Pacquiao did in the lower weights.
I disagree with people saying that Hatton sucks and that's why he got Koed, Hatton got to 44 of his opponent's and went 10 with Floyd. Not world class, but it takes a special boxer to put him out in 2, most guys got smothered.
Hagler has his good wins, but they were all in one weight class, he never had to worry about changing his game plan against bigger opponents. How would Hagler look against Michael Spinks?
The poll is even, most historians will pick Hagler due to old timer bias, most recent sport watchers will pick Pacquiao because it is what they are watching now (young person bias). Had they been around at the same time however, Pacquiao would be p4p no.1.Last edited by them_apples; 06-06-2009, 12:31 PM.Comment

Even without Oscar and Hatton, you can make a case. Pacquiao has to rate very high at 126-130.
I love how all the people picking Hagler are being ****heads about it, it's almost like they just blindly hate Pacquiao and have to vote for Hagler.
sort of dissapointing to see that most of the people picking Pacquiao are Pinoys as well. This isn't really an accurate poll.Comment

You can EASILY make a case. Let's throw bias out the window here, based on what both these guys have accomplished.
