    lets see:

    HBO boxing 09

May 30, 2009 Andrew Berto vs Juan Urango ----DBE
May 9, 2009 Chad Dawson vs Antonio Tarver ------GSP
    May 2, 2009 Manny Pacquiao vs Ricky Hatton-------Top Rank/GBP
Apr. 25, 2009 Juan Manuel Lopez vs Gerry Penalosa--------Top Rank
Apr. 11, 2009 Winky Wright vs Paul Williams------- Goosen Tutor/GBP
Mar. 7, 2009 James Kirkland vs Joel Julio -----GBP
Feb. 28, 2009 Juan Manuel Marquez vs Juan Diaz------- GBP
    Feb. 14, 2009 Nate Campbell vsAli Funeka--------DKP
    Jan. 24, 2009 Antonio Margarito vs Shane Mosley-------Top Rank/GBP
Jan. 17, 2009 Andre Berto vs Luis Collazo------DBE

HBO has had 10 dates........GBP has only been involved in 5, and has only been the lone promoter in 2....Top Rank was most likely the dominant promoter in both of their combined promotions, and while GBP was the dominant promoter in their co-promotion with Goosen, it was a showcase for 2 Goosen fighters....

TOP RANK has been involved in 3, being the lone promoter in 1(and like i said, most likely the most dominant in both of their co promotions with GBP)

DBE(DiBella) has been the lone promoter in 2+an undercard

GSP(Shaw) has been the promoter in 1+an undercard

DKP(Don King) has been the promoter in 1, but he only showcased his own fighters in the main event, the undercard was a showcase for GSP(angulo) and DBE(Martinez-Cintron) fighters.

Goosen Tutor was co-promoter in 1 date

pretty normal, considering GBP and Top Rank have the best fighters...if anything, DBE is the one that kinda gets better than normal treatment.
and coming up, we have a Top Rank event(Cotto-Clottey) and a MayweatherP/GBP event(FMjr-JMM)

    hardly a monopoly......

That's business for you.Competitive advantage but then why not have an official investigation to see if GBP are engaging in anti competitive activities.

but i'd rather have hbo have no connection with wbc suliaman then

yeah, GBP actually make fights happen.

look at Dibella and Berto, they fight all kinds of journeymen for him to fight and when they almost lost to Collazo, they take a step back and fight Urango. WTF?

GBP doesn't coddle their boxers, they put them in tough fights. They put JMM in against floyd. They put a Diaz in against JMM and Diaz's tune up was against Katsidis.

Of course Jose' Sillyman is going to say this about Golden Boy...GBP was concieved not only to make Oscar rich, but to also combat the underhanded dealings that the WBC and other thieves, (I mean sanctioning bodies), have grown fat and wealthy on, largely unopposed.

but I do realize that I am just dreaming in colors.
That would be a dream come true....

Suliman is a corrupt scumbag, I hope Oscar and Golden Boy take over boxing and give the public what it has always asked for, great fights!!

At first I was about to agree with Sulaiman, but I remember now that about 3 top elite fighters had to give up their WBC belts recently because he doesn't want unified champions??? He is ****ing nuts!!! Then I see the breakdown of actual fights on HBO and it just proves that he is a HATER! He is the ******* here, not GBP...The fighters come to them because they are run by fighters and for fighters, so they feel more comfortable with them as they understand what they are going through, unlike people like Arum and DK that use fighters like a racehorse. Not that I dislike DK and Arum because I give them the utmost respect, but I am just going by my observations over the years. If I were a pro boxer, I would go to GBP...not because they have more HBO deals, but because I would feel like they would treat me better and look out for my best interests more than the others...

The WBC is going to lose their prestige if they keep doing the dumbness!

I think the real issue is HBO, Golden Boy getting the majority of dates purported by Sulaiman, is a symptom of a problem; hence not the problem.

Apart from that issue, what hurts fighters and matchmaking worse...Golden Boy monopolizing tv dates, or sanctioning fees that prevent unification bouts from taking place?

                    you know what that means.

time to put the WBC in the trashcan.

                    I never could stand Sulaiman.

                    IBO for the win.
